find the value of a.

(1) p(2) = 100
=> p(2) = (-10)^2 or (10)^2; a can be 10 or -10 Hence Insuff.

(2) p(3)- -1000
=>p(3) = (-10)^3; a is -10 and hence Suff.

I will go with (B).

Stem 1- Insuff, as we sould not know whether a is +10 or -10

Stem 2- Suff, cleraly value of a is -10. hence "B"

Hi,

from 1 --> a=-10 or a=10 --> not suff.

from 2 --> a=-10 suff.

Therefore, B

OA?

Cheers
