Hey,

I'm having trouble understanding the answer to this question. Can someone please explain this.

Is n an integer.

1) n^2 is an integer
2) sqroot of n is an integer.

I thought the answer would be D but the answer is B.

Thanks

In Stmt1, n could be, say, 2^1/2, in which case n^2=2. Hence, B.
