I came across this question:
What is the perimeter of the rectangle ?
1. The length of the diagonal is 10
2. Area is 48
I picked A: The diagonal divides the rectangle into 2 triangles. Using the 3,4,5 property of right triangles, I can find the sides of the triangle to be 8,6 and then get the perimeter.
The answer in the book is C.
Can someone explain why A is not the right answer?

The rectangle with sides 10.1 and 0.1 has the diagonal 10 and the perimeter ~20.4
A rectangle with sides 7.05 and 7.05 has the diagonal 10 and the perimeter ~28.2

The rectangle could also be a square. Thus wed have an iscoceles.
