How do we know it's a rectangle?

I think it's B

We need 2 to find the width of the rectangle to be 2r
so the area of the rectangle is 2sr

The area of the triangle is (1/2)(s)(2r) = sr

Therefore the area of the triangle is 50% of the area of the rectangle

It is E, we dont know if it is a rectangle, or do we know the triangle is fully inscribed inside of the figure. We don't know much.

Should be B


width of rectangle = r/Sin30 = 2r

So area of rectangle 2rs


Area of triangle = 1/2*2r*s =rs

So triangle = 50% of rectangle

it may not be a rectangle. it could be any quadrilateral.

if it were a rectangle, you wouldn't need either of the condition and you know it is 1/2.
