pelihu, I love the detailed and logical explanations of your positions. Thank you for taking the time to post. :)

We shall see, since we'll ALL be long graduated and working (hopefully in top positions) by the time any ranking shakeups happen, haha.

Apparently Pelihu's been moonlighting on that culinary degree. When are you going to compete on iron chef, Pel?

go Haas!

I actually think they could do it. Berkeley Engineering is in the top 3 on US News (both undergrad and grad) so it's not like they haven't done this before.

You have to view these things in the context of time. In 100 years pretty much anything is possible. In 200 years, we'll probably be talking about some schools that don't even exist now.

If we view this in terms of the next 10 years, I think the top 3 of H/S/W will be almost impossible to crack. But can Berkeley overtake Tuck, Columbia, MIT, Chicago, Kellogg? Sure, I think it can. I wouldn't be completely surprised if Cal climbs into the #4-6 ranking area which is currently occupied by Kellogg, Chicago, and MIT.

Don't get me wrong...it's tough but it's doable. It's also doable for Ross, Anderson, Fuqua, Darden, etc. to move up there too though.

RVD.
