I am just starting my GMAT study plan and want to take a class, either in-person or live-online. I have narrowed it down to two options and would love some guidance on which one to go with.
Option 1: Veritas Prep course dates March 19 - April 25. Instructor: Ravi Sreerama
Advantages to option 1:
- Ravi is the highest rated instructor on gmatclub.
- Class starts in a month which is good timing
Disadvantages to option 1:
- I have heard pretty overwhelmingly that Veritas' study material is not as good as Manhattan's, obviously if I take the Veritas course I will be using a lot of their materials in place of Manhattan's.
- Looking at the reviews for Ravi on gmatclub many of his reviewers scored below 700, my goal is 740+. The reviewers for the instructor I would have through Manhattan all have 700+ scores (20 reviewers)
Option 2: Manhattan Prep course dates Apr 3 - May 29. Instructor: Keith Blume
Advantages to Option 2:
- From what I have gathered, Manhattan's materials are unquestionably the best aside from the
OG material and this would guarantee that i focus on that material
- All of Keith's reviewers on gmatclub have 700+ GMAT scores (20 reviews) while the instructor for my other course has many below 700, I feel this information is telling
Disadvantages to option 2:
- Start date is not for another 1.5 months and ends a full month after the Veritas course. I plan to prepare hard prior to the course but wonder if starting/finishing the course earlier would be beneficial.
- Although the Manhattan instructor has very positive reviews, Veritas' still remains the highest rated instructor on all of gmatclub and i feel that should not be ignored as well.
So what do people think??
