"I interviewed on 30th January, 2 alums (Unknown,No intro from them) But the panel had a great idea about sales and marketing, so I guess ISB made sure the panellists assigned were from a similar background as mine. The interview lasted for about 40 mins.
Questions
1. Tell us about yourself and your favourite place(and why?).
2. Asked about learnings from my previous job and how I tacked a difficult situation there.
3. Asked about the whereabouts of the Start-up I am currently working on.
4. Career goals, why MBA? why ISB? (Suggestion: Pls personalise your answers)
5. Difficulties faced in my current industry and how I would tackle if I become the CEO.
6. As my profile was sales-related, I got several situational based questions based on product pricing and how placements of SKU's should be done in a said future, how I would compete with a big competition.
7. What specific courses at ISB will help you achieve your goals
8. My answers were oriented based on 'how ISB would be the perfect fit for me'. On the contrary, they asked what's your plan, If ISB does not happen.
9. They didn't ask if I had any questions.
The interview was purely conversational, the alums just wanted to know me better and about the niche industry, I was working on.
I would definitely recommend Preppie and Strategy4GMAT for ISB interview training, plus mock interviews for preparation. As I had a diverse background, I faced specific discrepancies addressing a few blind spots(reasonings) and structuring my answers accordingly.
I am really glad I took the sessions with the right teams at the right moment.
Special thanks to Manan sir from Strategy4Gmat, who also took the initiative and helped me out during this hour of need. Their team helped me extensively to personalise my answers and differentiate them from the generic ones.
The mock interview was quite helpful as I received valuable feedback + insights on my target industry from several alums of Preppie(highly recommend). Ayush from the management team at Preppie was super helpful and highly motivating throughout the process. He made sure I was assigned with someone similar to my background.

The interview focused on a lot of behavioral questions like -
1. Who is your favorite co-worker
2. What do you feel about Teamwork
3. How would you use ISB to the best
4. What challenges do you face in working with Japanese stakeholders
5. How would you proceed if your clients say no to your approach
6. Tell us about your extracurricular activities
7. What is your favorite book and your learnings from it
8. What challenges did you face in setting up a committee in your workplace (mentioned in extracurricular)
9. Tell us about this project and your contributions and learnings from the same (the project was mentioned in my job achievements)
10. What would you do if one of the members from your study group didn't complete their task and tomorrow is the deadline
11. Why do you want to pursue this career

The interview was taken online (via Zoom) and lasted for about 35 minutes. There were two guys - one from AdCom and one from Career Management.
The questions were:
- Take us through your resume
- Why a second MBA? Why now?
- Short-term and long-term goals
- How would Fisher help you achieve these goals? (Why Fisher?)
- What challenges do you think you would face at Fisher?
- Tell us about a time when you led a team
- Tell us about a time when you received constructive feedback from someone
- Tell us about a time when you showed empathy
- Tell us about a time when you worked with people from diverse backgrounds
Afterward, they gave me the floor to ask questions. My first question was about extra-curricular activities at Fisher. However, from their feedback, it was apparent that they were more interested in career-related questions. So, my subsequent questions were directed towards career prospects at Fisher.
Tip: If you're an international applicant, make sure your goals are realistic and achievable in the US context. Don't pick a target industry that is not known to sponsor work visas. Conduct your research beforehand keeping this factor in mind.

Very conversational interview with Robyn from the careers team. Typical "walk me through your resume" question, and of course, why Ivey/why MBA. Like you would expect from any school.
A couple of behavioural questions too which aimed to test things such as self-awareness and ability to create change. I think these are pretty linked to success in the case method of learning because you need to be able to be open to other perspectives, and make your case/support your viewpoints.
Ahead of time, I would recommend applicants to do the following:
1. Understand the case method and if possible, participate in a class. If not possible, there are some examples of Harvard business school case classes on youtube.
2. Understand why you want to do an MBA and why at Ivey - what are Ivey's differentiators? Ivey uses career coaches to conduct the admissions interview, because they want to only accept those that they believe can:
a) successfully find employment post-MBA
b) have experience that is strong enough to provide good insights into the case discussions, but also not require an internship.
Therefore, being very cognisant of your current skill set, the skill set needed where you want to go, and how an MBA can fill those gaps, would be key.
Overall, I have been extremely impressed by the professionalism and touchpoints from the school throughout. I hope this debrief helps some prospective applicants!

Application submitted on : 3-Jan-22
Interview invite sent on: 21-Jan-22
Interviewed on: 28-Jan-22
Total interview duration - 40 mins
The interviewer was a 2nd year student, specializing in consulting. While I had tested Zoom 30 mins prior and logged in 10 mins prior, my Zoom crashed, as soon as the interviewer joined(Murphy's First Law, I guess). Took around 3-4 mins to join back. He gave a quick introduction of himself, and we started the interview.
Questions[30 mins]
Profile Questions:
1. Walk me through your resume
2. ST/LT Goals
3. Why MBA?
4. Why now?
5. Why Tuck?
Before moving to the behavioral questions, he asked me if there was something I wanted to talk about, over and above the previous questions
Behavioral Questions(no specific order; paraphrasing):
1. Tell me about a time when someone came to you with a complaint. Follow up questions on the incident
2. Tell me about a time when you failed
3. What do you want your legacy at Tuck to be?
4. Given Tuck emphasizes on teamwork, what are you going to bring to the table, during interactions with your team
5. What are the clubs that you would want to join at Tuck? Why?
6. Currently, what are your biggest fears about moving to Tuck?
Given the Zoom snafu, I had only 5 mins to ask him questions. Ended up asking 2 questions. Ended the conversation with apologizing again for the technical issues. Also, sent him a note of thanks within 30 mins after the interview.
Hope this helps. All the best!

I interviewed on 29th January, 2 alums from Co’2018 , Co’2016 as panelists. Lasted for 40 mins. Questions-
1. Tell me about yourself
2. Tell me about a time when your inputs improved an existing process ( follow up questions on the thinking behind your inputs, impact , lessons for next time)
3. How did you balance ECs and acads in UG? Motivation behind ECs
4. Career goals, why MBA for them, why ISB?
5. How can you contribute to ISB Co’2023
6. Tell me about a situation when you had to learn something new
7. What specific courses at ISB will help you achieve your goals
8. Other than acads, ECs what plans at ISB?
9. Questions for the panel
Interview was purely conversational, the alums just wanted to know me better. I faced major internet issues in the last 5 mins of the interview, but the alums and adcom were understanding and cooperative.
For preparation, I would definitely recommend preppie for isb interview training plus mock interviews. Their preparation kit is very thorough and a great starting point. The mock interview was super helpful too as I received valuable feedback + insights on my target industry by Shubham from Preppie. Special thanks to Ayush from the management team at Preppie as he was super helpful and cooperative, and provided encouragement throughout the preparation process.

I joined the zoom link 10 mins before the scheduled start time, and after 2-3 mins of waiting, got the message (on my zoom screen) that I will be admitted to the waiting room of "my interviewer name". I used the remaining 6-7 mins to look up my interviewer on LinkedIn and find out about their background (to help me think of more relevant questions to ask towards the end).
The interview began at the very second the clock struck the scheduled time. My interviewer started with a basic introduction about their background. And then we straight away dove into the questions:
1. Tell me about yourself and a bit about your resume.
2. Why do you want to do an MBA now?
3. Why Anderson?
4. What are your ST and LT goals?
5. What would be your plan B?
6. Describe a time/situation when you had to handle diversity in your team?
7. Describe a time/situation when you created impact within/outside your team?
8. Which clubs would you join at Anderson?
9. How would you contribute to Anderson and how do you plan to derive value out of the resources available at Anderson?
10. Any questions for the interviewer?
I was nervous in the beginning (fearing my interviewer would lose interest in my stories, etc.), but then I employed some basic hand gestures/movements to reiterate the points where I wanted to create a focussed impact, and thankfully saw my interviewer maintain an interested and curious look throughout the duration of my answer.
On the whole, it was a very relaxed and friendly experience.

Profile:
Commerce Background with 2.5 years of work experience in Investment Banking
My interview (~50 minutes) was very conversational and the panel made sure that I was comfortable.
My interview started at 9. am sharp with two interviewers joining from Singapore. They introduced themselves stating fun facts about themselves and asked me to follow the same course. I gave a very brief introduction about myself and told them how being broke landed me a job in college. We had a good laugh with the back story and this ice breaker set the course for the entire interview.
Panelist 1: I see your background is very interesting, would you like to talk about it?
Me: I had painted my bedroom wall and that was the background. I talked about how passionate I was towards art and about the Startup which I had joined in my college.
Panelist 2: So, why do you want to do an MBA?
Me: Reasoned that for time being, I want to keep my passion and profession separate and not mix them up.
Panelist 2: And why ISB?
Me: For me, diversity of ISB and its curriculum are major focus areas, so I dived on these aspects
Panelist 1: You see, both of us are not from Fin background, so explain in layman terms, what you do at your job?
Panelist 2: Yes, explain like you would to your grandmother.
Me: Explained with the help of examples
Panelist 1: This sounds interesting and it pays you well, why not stay here?
Me: Explained my reasons
Panelist 2: How has your creativity helped you in your work?
Me: Quoted instances
Panelist 1: There have been times when your creativity must have helped you outside, right?
Me: Quoted instances
Panelist 1: So, how do you guys go about communicating within your team?
Me: Explained them our division of workflow and communication throughout the day
Panelist 1: "Aisa hua hoga naa kabhi ki differences toh hue hi honge, kya kia fir" (Dealing with conflicts)
Me: Again, instance
Panelist 2: Have you ever had differences with your manager?
Me: Yes, quoted the instance and how I dealt with it by communicating effectively.
Panelist 2: So, who are you outside work? Who are you apart from what you study, work, you do?
Me: Briefly told them about myself in a very different context (quoting an instance of what I did when I was completely exhausted while working 60+ hrs in a particular week)
Panelist 1: What do you think will be the most challenging thing in ISB for you?
Me: The urge to do everything might overwhelm me
Panelist 1: What problems do you think ISB will solve for you?
Me: Answered
Panelist 1: You mentioned that you read the Gita, batao kya seekha? (what you learned)
Me: Answered with my favourite quote and how it has shaped my thought process and lifted me up when I was at the lowest point in my life.
Panelist 1 & 2 were quite impressed with this answer and told me that they are taking this away from the interview and will themselves start reading it.
Panelists asked me to ask questions. I asked 3-4 questions about their experience and after a hearty laugh, it came to an end.
Overall view: Panelists were very supportive and encouraging, didn't try to intimidate at any point and were focused more on the behavioral aspect of things.
Preparation: I had a lot going on in my job, so I didn't have the bandwidth to take any mock interview. I was very very thorough with what I had mentioned on my application and was confident on questions wrt work that could have been thrown.

The interview was over Zoom with a second-year student. He was friendly and the interview was conversational, he kept on adding points or agreeing with what I said. Below are the questions :
1) Talk about yourself.
2) In the first question I said I worked on ML in analytics, he asked how did that happen? Is it self-taught or trained ?
3) Why MBA and Why Anderson?
4) Short-term and long-term goals? Any location preference post MBA?
5) Leadership experience, how do I keep the team motivated, and how it functions?
6) I told all Senior level people in the team are based out of the USA, so the question was has it been difficult to work in that setup, or is it not? How has my experience been?
7) How will I get involved in the Anderson community? In what all clubs/ activities I am planning on participating?
8) Any questions for me?
Overall good experience, probably the best among all the interviews I have had. All the best :)

My interview was with a current 1Y student who I was almost about to contact yesterday on LinkedIn but alas.
It lasted about 35 mins with another 10 mins of questions from me and responses from him. Below were the questions.
1. Walk me through your resume - This went on for a while with no follow-up questions
2. How has your leadership style evolved over your time in the company? - I have spent a significant amount of time in the same org
3. Short term and long term goals - He asked quite a few follow up Qs in this section with specific emphasis on how the short term goals tie up with long term goals.
4. Why Kellogg - No follow up Qs here
5. If plan A doesn't work out, what will be plan B?
6. Anything you'd would like to add which has not been discussed?
This was followed by a few questions from me and he was descriptive with his responses and took the pain of sharing different perspectives.
Overall a pleasant conversational experience. I sure could have done better at certain places but enjoyed the experience in general.
All the best to all of us!

Questions asked were:
1. Walk me through your resume
2. Short term & long term goal

4. Why Kellogg? I told him about how much I was interested in few clubs and so he did say those clubs are in Columbia and Wharton too so why not Columbia, Wharton?

As of now my final status is interviewed but I'll know a decision by end of February.
1) What are your short / long term goals?
2) Pros and cons of having a cross functional campus vs just MBA students?
3) Most important aspect of working in a multidisciplinary team?
4) See the other recent Tech MBA questions that have been asked by Bianca to get a sense of what else could be asked.
5) Any follow up questions? (Good to have more in case your interview still has like 10-15 mins left before time is up - use the time you have wisely).
Whole interview was about 20-25 mins since we did start a little late, I think her (Bianca's) interview before mine went a little longer than expected.
