2 panelists, both very polite. P1 Started of with why MBA - halfway through my answer he interrupted and countered with 'can you validate the skills you claim to have'. While I was validating P1 countered a couple of times, trying to pressurize a bit. Next P2 asked about an incident of conflict that I have faced within my team. Few counter arguments here regarding explaining my role in the situation. Thereafter asked about my target industry, why supply chain. Finally my target role and target company. Altogether, a conversational interview, less stressful than IIMA. I felt it was a relatively short interview-15 mins.

Scheduled time : 8.30 am Start time : 9.10 am Extempore topic : Standardized test GMAT/GRE don't play much of a role in assessment for B-school Was given 1-2 mins for preparation (taking notes allowed). I disagreed with the topic. 4-5 counter questions, I was able to defend myself and he was satisfied. It was a typical combination of interviewers- one a little soft spoken and compassionate and the other a little strong and unimpressed. Both of them contributed equally. Thereafter, they asked 'Why You'. Lot of counter arguments here too, the strong guy was not easily convinced. Next, one question from my interest area ' Energy sector' - How is energy sector evolving in India. Finally, what are your post MBA goals. Altogether a good conversational experience The interview lasted around 35 mins.

I really enjoyed my MIT interview, it was formal yet relaxed, and I definitely felt that my interviewer was engaged in my answers/conversation. Interviewer was from the AdCom 1. Has anything changed? 2. Describe a time when you were difficult to work with 3. How did you handle an ambiguous situation? 4. How do you convince someone of something? 5. Specific question about my essay 6. Why an MBA and why MIT? 7. Questions for them It lasted about 35 minutes.

I was interviewed by the NUS admissions director and an NUS Professor. Below were the questions I was asked. 1. Give a brief introduction about yourself and in the answer also continue to include why you want to do an MBA in NUS. 2. Can you explain to us what is your role in your organization. (I was a little technical in my explanation, so they asked me to explain it in simpler terms after that) 3. Why MBA? What are your post-MBA goals 4. Did you experience any kind of cultural shock when you started working in Japan(I worked for 2 years in Tokyo). What were some of the things you liked in the work culture?. (It turned out the professor who interviewed me lived in Tokyo for 20 years.) We went on to have a 2 min casual conversation on life in Tokyo. 5. Then they came back to my work asking how technical is my work. Do you code? Then they asked me post-MBA do you still wish to be involved in coding? 6. They asked me about some of my extracurricular I mentioned in the additional essay. 2-3 questions along that. 7. What would you be at say 45? 8. (I had mentioned in the goals essay I wish to work in FinTech). They asked me some current trends. The difference in the industry in Singapore vs India. Some of the companies I want to work in Singapore. 9. Why Singapore? 10. What are some of the clubs you want to take part in. 11. A lot of folks in NUS are quite talented. What would make you unique among them? 12. What other schools are you applying to? 13. Any questions for us? Overall the interview was a great 30 min conversation. They were really polite in their tone and did not try to put me under stress. There was some exchange of humour in between too.

Interviewer: Jessica Morgan. Duration: 25 minutes Location: Zoom Jessica Morgan is one of the most benevolent admission committee members I have ever met. I met her previously at an MBA fair and scheduled a coffee chat on Zoom prior to my application. She connected me with a brilliant student from the current cohort for me to ask questions regarding the MBA curriculum and life at Schulich. Since she already knew my profile and my interest in the school, we skipped my profile introduction and why Schulich part. Below are the questions I received during the interview. ➊Run me through your resume, ➋Why is there a gap year in your professional life, what have you been doing since then? ➌Why MBA? ➍Why do you want to shift to strategy consulting? ➎What type of leader are you? ➏How do you handle difficulties? Please give an example of a difficult decision you made. What were the steps that you took while making that decision? ➐What are the challenges you expect while studying at Schulich? ➑Do you have any questions for me? Suggestions: Do your research, show your interest, be yourself, do not stress out, relax and enjoy the opportunity to show that you are fit for the program.

Hi, My interview lasted about 45 minutes. The interview is conversational in nature. The questions are focused on understanding you as a candidate and there are no right answers. At the end, there is an opportunity to ask the interviewer questions yourself. Some sample questions are below: What is your goal? How can Stanford MSX help you? What are your strengths/weaknesses? What advice would you give to a new leader? What leadership traits do you admire? etc. I hope this helps.

My interview was with Ms. Porter of Adcom. She said it was her first interview of the season and only had my resume. The interview lasted less than 30 minutes and it was a very comfortable experience. Some of the prominent questions were: Why MBA? Why Georgetown? Where else did you apply? A time when you had to convince others How would your team describe you I would say the things they are most interested to know is your thought process in selecting schools that you applied to and how keen you are on Georgetown. So it would help immensely if you research unique aspects about the GT MSB program.

Had my interview recently. It was conversational. I was a bit nervous and felt like I bungled through some answers. Resume walk through. Why MBA? Why Johnson? What will you do to make your transition to consulting - I found this tough. I talked about the immersion programs and consulting program in my “why Johnson” response and felt like I repeated that here. I added a tid bit about engaging with firms and case interview prep etc but probably could have slowed down and talked about networking etc, consulting club etc. Anything you want to get involved with at Johnson? Tell me how you spend your free time? Any new hobbies during covid? Anything else you want the application committee to know - I knew Johnson asked this but wasn’t sure what was appropriate. In the moment I said “just that I am eager to engage with the Johnson community etc given the opportunity and learn”. Overall a good experience. I think I made it tougher on myself because I really like Johnson. I think I showed them that I did good research on the program and structure. But wish I could have paced myself better and been more calm like I have been in other interviews.

Interviewer was just 1-2 mins late to the video call. Started really informally with talking about our days for 3 minutes. Alum interviewer and I were from the same state and region in the US. Questions asked to me in 30 minutes: - Why MBA / Why GSB - Time I showed results - Time I managed different types of stakeholders - Why I moved from [first job] to [current job] - Time I dealt with conflict - Time I made a mistake, as a manager - What questions I ask to people I interview, as a manager - What I want to do after GSB Then I asked questions for 10 minutes: - What interviewer wished they would have done differently about their GSB experience - How they felt about moving to GSB given being from [specific state] We finished in exactly 45 minutes and I thought it went really well since it was so conversational. But the next day or two, upon reflection, I realized I did a really poor job of giving a variety of examples. I mostly focused on my current job and not my first job or outside of work activities, which I should have done. But, it was my first interview so the next interviews I had were much better since I purposefully figured out how to squeeze in related info from undergrad, first job, or upbringing.

Hello, I interviewed for a spot in the EMBA class, but I'm sure the Full Time interview is similar. The interview was super conversational, started with asking where I was calling from and then moved into some small talk about the DC area (EMBA is in Rosslyn mostly). I was then asked to talk about my life story, starting from where I grew up all the way through undergrad (and grad school in my case), what I've been doing since graduating, and why an MBA/why Darden. The interviewer asked questions throughout the whole life story and it was really awesome - very much a conversation. It ended with what my hobbies are professionally and socially, which sparked more conversation, and then I asked some questions about the program that weren't in youtube videos or on the website.

My interviewer was Jessica Morgan. She is a positive friendly interviewer. 30 minutes fled in conversation without hard feelings I dont remember the sequence of the questions, except the very first question 1) Why MBA, why now, why Schulich? A very straightforward question, you have to be ready to answer smoothly and confidently, this is your homework, do it 100%. As it is the very first question it has the impressional effect as well, so do your best 2) A situation when you have resolved a conflict? 3) What would you do if your team member doesn't fulfill his/her tasks? 4) YOu set a goal and could not reach, what have you learned? 5) What extracurricular activities have you done? 6) Your leadership style? 7) What challenges do you expect while pursuing an MBA? 2-7 questions are very specific and individual, maybe you have already thought about them while preparing for application, if not think about them, dont start to mumble and give desperate answers when you have wasted 30-60 seconds and you feel there is a must to answer just something, speaking out loud that you wont have any challenges during the MBA or you have reached all the goals you have set. The second part is your questions: 1) What question do you have for me The wrong answers: - I dont have any, I know everything. - Which campus is for MBA students? You have to ask something, you must not ask a question to which you may get the answer in five minutes in google. Ask about her opinion about the MBA program. Make her tell her story or point of view. Prepare at least 3 questions My interview was about 30 minutes, just be natural and honest and everything will be fine, as you were called for an interview, this means you have bypassed the main difficulties

Hi all, Interviewed with AdCom member this Wednesday on Zoom. The conversation was laidback, but really focused on details. I guess knowing that MIT bases its admissions on prior achievements/successes to judge whether you are going to find success in the program and post-MBA, you should really be prepared to give a lot of details (not a lot of questions, but lots of details on what exactly you did achieve). 1) Has anything changed since you submitted your application ? 2) What is your favorite thing about working in this [industry]? 3) Tell me about your biggest achievement ? (She drilled into a lot of detail, she really wanted to figure out what was my personal involvement in the project, what was the delta from before my involvement). Spent a lot of time on this. I guess the more details you can share the better, I thought of some things I wish I had said after the fact, so be prepared to speak in a LOT of details!! 4) Tell me about a time when you had a disagreement with your boss or a peer? (same thing here, one example, lots of details and follow up questions on the details) 5)How can MIT help you achieve your goals? 6) Questions for me?

Interviewed with Admission Committee Member There are several specific questions related to my applications. But the general questions are: 1. Walk me through your resume 2. Why MBA? 3. Which companies do you want to work for post-MBA, and where? 4. Why Johnson? 5. Tell me about your experience as a teammate and a leader (in one question) 6. What do you do for fun? 7. Which immersion or class do you want to take? Questions for the adcom: 1. How Johnson help international students transferred to Ithaca during Covid-19? 2. How are the recruitment timeline and procedures differ due to Covid-19? Overall, it was a very conversational and fun interview compared to any other interviews I ever took. Good luck all!

The interview was about 45 mins. We started with a very casual conversation just to know how's the day going for each other and then went over my resume. The questions listed below were the questions that I got asked: 1. What is your short-term and long-term career goal? 2. What was your biggest measurable accomplishment? 3. Share a failure. 4. If you were to accomplish something within 1 week, 1 month and 1 year when you were a student at Rotman, what would you do and how would you do it? 5. Why MBA and why Rotman? 6. How will you contribute to Rotman? 7. 3 wishes if Rotman could grant them to you. 8. Any other schools that you applied? After the questions he gave me some time to ask him questions. Make sure you prepare 2-3 good questions to impress the admission committee. Good luck everyone!

I had 2 interviews as I applied in the Early action round and they were not having the assessment day at that time. Interview 1 ( End of Sep) The first interview was with the Associate Director of admissions in my region and was focused only on my motivation and fit for the program. - It was a very conversational and zero pressure kind of environment ( Introduce yourself, work experience) - The interviewer tried to understand me as a person ( Talk about your childhood, family/kids, where you grew up, etc) - Fit evaluation ( How did you know about IESE, your Interactions with IESE, Why IESE, Why MBA) - Career ( Asked me to open the CV on my PC and spent 15 mins on it understanding each role and transition in detail with key achievements and learnings, Immediate career goals, PLAN B and PLAN C also incase you have to come back to your own country post-IESE MBA. your Plan B should also be worked out in detail including target companies, roles and geographies as well). - My Preparation and mindset ( Ability to Fund the MBA and financial planning in detail, My understanding of the culture and teaching methodology at IESE. What other schools have you applied to, compare other top EU schools with IESE if you took a few names). Summary- - Speak to as many people as possible and mention their names and what unique points did you take from them ( 1st and 2nd-year students, recent Alums, and some Alums who have been working for some time now in your target companies/geographies for getting broad perspectives) - Attend Info sessions, country-specific webinars and Open days. These 2 points will be most critical in understanding the culture and will also build a strong case for you about your preparation and intent to join the school. - Financial plan is Important ( how will you take care of tuition, stay, networking travel, exchange, Misc etc- You should have worked out everything) - Show your passion for the school. You need to be well versed with the Fit, culture, and DNA of the school. IESE is very particular about that. ( You will be asked to give specific reasons for choosing IESE over others let's say HEC/ LBS/ INSEAD etc. Be very specific. For other schools, it's generally understood that you will choose IESE over them anyway.) - Ask strong and forward-looking questions to your interviewers. My second interview also covered most of the above but was very detailed and functional in nature. My second interviewer was an associate admissions director of another region and Ex. McKinsey. We spoke mostly about my career goals and fit ( since I had put consulting on my career goals). I was asked situational questions for my past roles with the kind of conversations I had with stakeholders and how I handled tough situations. He even asked me case interview questions to understand my fit with consulting. Overall, try to be as honest as possible and show your passion for your career goals, IESE, and motivation to do an MBA at this stage. Other than this the above points should give a good indication of preparation required and approach towards the interview. All the very best !

My interview was a pleasant experience: very conversational and candid. Total duration: 90 minutes First 10 min: small talk about Spain/ weather/ COVID Questions: 1) Tell me about your family - what’s your background like/ where you grew up/ what do your parents and siblings do? >> we realised we had lived in a few common cities so spoke about that 2) Tell me about yourself + what motivates you? 3) Asked about the different languages I speak (this was mentioned in my resume) 4) Challenges faced as an entrepreneur 5) Biggest successes in life 6) Post MBA goals: plan A and plan B+ follow up questions 7) Why MBA + Why IESE 8) How will you contribute to the class 9) How will you finance your Mba + follow up questions 10) Give me a final sales pitch as to why we should admit you/ give you a scholarship 11) We wrapped up by me asking him a few questions: - what the alum experience is like - partner experience and managing that alongside school - founding and running a club in IESE The whole interview was like an extremely insightful coffee chat! A lot of back and forth conversation and follow up questions, and an overall easy flow. He even recommended professors/ alums to reach out to. Notes: 1) The interviewer will have your resume printed with him/ her during the interview, so make sure you know it inside out! Especially the extracurriculars section 2) Send the interviewer a thank you email following the interview 3) Speak to lots of students and alums and mention this in your interview. Talk about what you learned from the students and alums, how the networking helped you/ influenced your decisions etc
