Hey Guys, I apologize for posting this debrief so late. I scheduled my own on-campus interview. I had already submitted my application by then. I was interviewed by Heather Holland. She had gone through my resume. Overall it was a pretty chill interview. It started casually. During the start of my career, I had worked in Mumbai. She had just visited Mumbai. I told her how I miss the place, now that I had been away for more than 3 years. (Leopold cafe & Colaba Social). I was asked a few personal questions such as below:- 1. After my graduation, there was a gap of around 9 months. I was just waiting for my offer letter since I was placed within my college itself. So I had to explain that to her. 2. Most of my experience is international, so I was asked some questions along that line. Comparing Indian Managers with US Managers. 3. What challenges I faced when I first started here in the US. 4. How would I prepare myself as I plan to move to Atlanta from New York City? Other questions were generally the usual ones. 1. Why MBA? 2. Short term goals. 3. Why Goizueta? 4. What value would I add to the program? Thanks cyberjunkie

Had interview with Heather Holland from the Admissions team. The interview was pretty chill - no stress / career / case study type questions. 1. How did you get your first job after graduation? was it just on-campus or something else? 2. How and why did you make the shift from startup to consulting? 3. Why MBA? What do you hope to achieve? 4. Which internship (company & role i mentioned) do you see yourself in after the programs? 5. What would you contribute to the learning team at the school? 6. Which place would you suggest I should go to if I am in Bangalore 7. Any questions for me. Couple of points to note: 1. Heather is a frequent traveller to India and even interviews Indians when she comes over (typically in Jan). So, she knows the ground reality of about Indian Engineering scene and what the top colleges are..So I would suggest be careful while talking about your undergrad extracurriculars 2. Be clear in your mind about which company and role you want to join after mba - Heather was really appreciative when I mentioned the company, role and the location as well. 3. Be clear on how you can contribute to Goizueta (professional and outside of the class). I was asked in my interview on what will you contribute outside of the class Overall it was a very chill interview - Heather was wonderful to speak to. Be cool and have confidence - ATB

Following are some of the questions I was asked: 1. Run me through your work exp post undergrad 2. Best achievement in the current role at work 3. Why MBA now? Why Foster? 4. What value will you add to the community? 5. Time when you were not a leader but worked in a team and your contribution 6. Biggest risk you've taken at work 7. Time when you set very high goals 8. What are you passionate about outside academics and work. 9. Any questions you'd like to ask me? Interview lasted for about 40 minutes. Nothing out of the ordinary. I gave my Ross interview on Skype with MBA2. I initially asked for the alum interview but the alum I was matched with was already at capacity so had to schedule a Skype interview instead Below is the debrief: Initially the interviewer explained the process of how she would go about the interview. Interview lasted around 40 minutes including a couple questions which I asked the interviewer (~10 minutes for my questions). Some of the questions that the interviewer asked are mentioned below (note that I am not really sure if the flow of the questions was the same or not) - Tell me about yourself - Why MBA now? - Any specific courses you are interested in at Ross? - Anything else that Ross will be able to provide you? (in simple terms 'fit' question) Behavioral questions - Tell me about an instance you has to adjust working alongside a team member - Tell me about a time you had to mentor someone - Tell me about a time when you went above what was expected out of you in that role - Tell me about a time when you were challenged - Tell me about a time when you failed at something? How did you and the others react to the situation - What kind of a leader are you? - What kind of team do you lead currently? How will adapt if the your team get additional members - Tell me about a time you had to motivate your peers. How would you approach it? - So do you have any questions for me? (I asked around 3-4 questions at the end which lasted around 10 minutes) Overall I think it went really well. And I would wish best luck to everyone else. Hope this debrief is helpful. Let me know in case you have any other questions related to the process.

It was a video interview with a 2nd year student. It might depend but the 2nd year interviews are generally relaxed and you can have a good fun conversation. After introducing themselves, they started with the basics. Also, no curveballs at all. 1) Walk me through your resume 2) Follow up questions to one or two points in your job timeline or early promotions etc. (You do have to know that, right?) 3) What are some challenges that you faced in career? (Follow ups) 4) What are the skills you have gained? (Follow ups) 5) Why MBA ? 6) Why McCombs? 7) Some unique projects that you have worked on? 8) What is something you learned from your application process? 10) Any questions for me? I might be missing something here as it was 2 AM my clock when I interviewed but oh well. It was good overall. Can only keep my fingers crossed now. Let’s see!!

My interviewer was a second year student. The interview lasted for about 20-23 minutes. 1. Tell me about yourself. 2. Goals. 3. Why MBA now? 4. Situation where I faced a conflict. 5. A project I failed. 6. A skill I developed at workplace. 7. My contribution to class and Owen. 8. What I expect from my peers at Owen. 9. Experience in a diverse community. 10. My role in my project at workplace. 11. Other schools I applied to and my criteria for shortlisting the schools. 12. Another question related to my work. Lastly, he let me ask any questions I wanted to! Those were a lot of questions and the interview lasted for just 20 minutes :) It was pretty conversational though!

I interviewed on campus with Maria Pineda, the Senior Director of Admissions. It was actually a pretty tough interview, she asked the general "why mba, why Smith, why now" questions but also asked questions regarding what I wanted to do post-mba, my second option, and my THIRD option. Another question she asked was how I would contribute to Smith during the MBA as well as afterward, which I thought was a great question and enjoyed thinking through. She also asked some standard behavioral questions, so just be prepared and speak slowly and clearly. Know your goal and why UMD fits into that picture. Good luck!

I opted for the F2F interview, and I was one of the lucky few who was given accommodation in Westminster College. They gave only one night though, so I contacted the college to extend it by another night at my own expense. It started with amazing three-course dinner at the Queen's College old hall. There was more people than I expected - I think around 70 - 80 people were in that hall - a combination of interviewees, staffs and current students. It's a wonderful opportunity to connect with them and ask them literally anything. The next day a taxi picked us up from the College to the business school, in which they give us our full-day plan. Everyone is given specific schedules on what time their careers-team discussion is, who the interviewer is, and what time the interview will be. If you're lucky, you'll have a bit more time to google your interviewer, but some people only have 15 minutes to get ready for their interview after receiving the schedule! The questions I got, as far as I remember, were as follows: 1. Tell me about your career progress so far, why MBA is needed to progress that career, and why Judge? (yes, in one question) 2. Tell me about a recent innovation from the last 10 years which you feel is very significant. 3. Tell me about a time when you changed your mind. 4. What is leadership to you and how do you emulate that? (I'm a line manager so he asked me this question). There were a few other behavioral questions but my memory felt wiped out lol. The interviewer was very friendly but his face remained emotionless the entire time, which was mildly intimidating. It indeed felt more like an intellectual discussion than an interview, but I had the impression I did quite badly and could have done better when I reflected back on my performance. After the interview, there was a walking-tour and the guide was fantastic :) F2F interview is definitely encouraged! I got the admittance letter 14 days after the interview despite having a lower-than-average GMAT score, so it's true that the GMAT is only a component and they do look at you holistically. Best of luck to future applications!

Interview Debrief of my Online Interview: 1) Things about your professional background that make you a fit for your choice of specialization. 2) 5 words to describe yourself and explain why 3) What would your teammates and peers tell about your leadership style 4) How do you connect with people, your style of making relationships. 5) One piece of constructive criticism you got and worked on it. 6) If you had 2-3 wishes, what sills would you want to gain by using them. 7) Why MBA and why Wisconsin 8. What will you contribute to the class? 9. What do you want to gain from your classmates? Etc.. It was longer than an hour. We finished in about 80 mins including questions i asked back and some time got wasted with connectivity issues. With conversational and the interviewer had a understanding and supportive attitude. I could feel him taking interest in what i have to say, instead of just trying to evaluate me.

My interview was with Stephanie Brown. It was my first interview for an MBA college and what I really liked about the interview was that it was not as formal as a job interview. She was casual and made me comfortable. Questions asked: 1. Why did you select the MBA/MSBA dual degree? 2. Why Notre Dame? 3. How will you contribute to the program? 4. Which concentration will you select if you're admitted? 5. Tell me about an achievement in your personal or professional life? 6. After you graduate from ND, how would you like your cohort to remember you? 7. Which companies are you looking forward to working at after your MBA? 8. Tell me about an incident when you disagreed with your senior, how did you react? 9. Tell me about an initiative you took and what was the result. 10. Describe yourself in three words. 11. Last one was a case study question. 5 minutes time is given to come up with an 'approach' to the problem? This is common to ND interviews. After the interview, ample time was given to ask questions to the interviewer. Interview time was about 40 minutes.

Hi folks, I submitted my application on 6th Oct and got an invite to interview on 14th Oct which was odd since the deadline was 15th Oct. Anyways, I interviewed with Kellee Scott on the 17th. Unlike an interview, it felt like a friendly conversation and lasted for around 30mins. It was not a blind interview and it looked like Kellee had already been through my application thoroughly since most of the questions she asked were very specific. In past debriefs, I saw most interviews were blind and so I was little surprised, but Kellee was very friendly and wanted to know more about me over and above the application. I'd be able to share very few questions which might be helpful to all since most of them very specific to my current job, my extra-curriculars and an international experience. 1. Post-MBA, internal consulting or external consulting? (I mentioned tech consultant as my target role in the application) 2. Which companies will you target 3. What confirmed your decision to apply to Marshall? 4. At the end, some time to ask her questions. All the best!

"AdCom initiated interview. I interviewed with a second year student over Skype/Google Hangouts. Overall very friendly. No real follow-up questions, less of a conversation as the interviewer was mostly going through his list. Started with an overview/introduction of himself 1. Walk me through your resume. 2. Why MBA now? 3. Why Tuck? 4. What are your short term goals? 5. Describe a situation when I received constructive feedback from someone. 6. What is your greatest accomplishment? 7. Talk about a time you took on a leadership role? 8. What is a time you went out of your way to help someone? 9. What are you most excited to engage with or do if you're at Tuck? 10. Any question that you believe I should have asked you about. 11. What are your long term goals? 12. Any questions you have for me?

The interview was really more of a conversation than anything else and lasted 30 mins. It was done on Zoom. Questions (I can't remember all) 1. Walk me through your resume. 2. What is your short term plan? 3. If that doesn't materialize what would you do? 4. Tell me more about your undergrad. 5. (Questions specific to my work experience. I've been an entrepreneur for 7 years with few more years working at other firm) 6. Why Simon and not somewhere else? (got asked a variation of this question again) 7. 3 minute 'essay' : What has been your greatest achievement? 8. I asked 2-3 questions at the end. I haven't had a response as of writing this so.... Anyway, hope this helps.

Interviewed with Sr Adcom over video. Interview lasted 32 minutes as they have very tight schedules. You will get around 10 minutes to ask Qs. Very relaxed tbh. Interview is going to be very conversational and there were no curveballs as such. Not your typica Q&A style. 1) About work (specific reasons for some points mentioned) 2) Goals 3) Why MBA? Why emory? 4) Industry related trends 5) Leadership example 6) My personal stuff: hobbies, some personal behavioral questions related to my hobbies. I asked a question or two and then it was time up! I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Fingers crossed.

Interviewer is very friendly and we covered my resume in depth. Generally each topic had the following 3 questions: what do you do, how did you get involved, and why did you do it. Asked how my day was and how was class. Asked about an special internship in college I highlighted in my app. Asked about a sport I played in college and what it was like being a captain. Asked what was the hardest part of becoming captain. Asked about my managerial style on my professional experience. Asked how did I get there and about my promotions. Asked how would I solve a problem in my future industry. Asked about an extracurricular I'm currently in. How did I get involved/ what do I do/ why did I get involved. Asked if there's anything more I would like to share.
