- Ross Weekend MBA Interview - It was with the Managing Director for Part Time MBA Admissions (Patti Russso). The interview itself was very conversational and direct. No surprise questions whatsoever. Questions asked during my interview include - 1. Why MBA? During my answer I was questioned as to why I didn't want to choose other Masters Program aka in Supply Chain management etc. 2. Why Ross? 3. What are my Goals? I only answered Short Term as I wasn't specifically asked about Long Term Goal. 4. Due to my low verbal score in GMAT, I was asked as to why it's low and what happened. 5. Tell me about yourself? During my answer I was asked if I always liked science. 6. Asked me about my current job responsibility of leading a product's design and how I go about this? 7. Asked me about my experience with Project Management and what exactly I do? 8. What do I bring to the Table? After all the questions, the admissions process was explained to me (next steps essentially) and gave me an opportunity to ask questions. Thanked me and said that I was early in the admissions process and results will be communicated within 4 weeks. Overall, it was a rather pleasant experience and not nerve wracking at all. I highly recommend that one prepares solid and genuine replies to Question - 1, 2, 3 & 8.

Hey everyone, I'm posting this hoping to help any who is invited to interview at Johnson Cornell. My interview was via Skype and the Adcom assigned 30 minutes for it. The interview was pretty straightforward and my interviewer seemed in a good mood since she greeted me. This is how it went: - Resume walkthrough (academics and professional experience) - She inquired into my impact at current job - Short and long-term goals (Why MBA? kind of surfaced here) - Plan B if things don't work out? - Why Johnson Cornell? - Questions for me?

I had my interview with a senior associate director of Admissions over Skype. I had already spoken to him before applying to IE to know more about the Tech MBA program. I applied to the IMBA and the newly launched Tech MBA program at IE. My interview went on for one hour I would say. The questions I was asked were: Tell me about yourself Why MBA now? And Why MBA? Since I applied to IMBA and Tech MBA asked me what attracted me to apply to both the programs. Asked me some questions regarding my post MBA goals. Which Technology do you think will completely disrupt the industries and also the Tech Industries? Asked me some questions around AI What is your favourite programming language and why? Asked me some questions on ethics and AI. Asked me a question on blockchain Asked me about a failure moment Asked me about other schools I had applied to and what were my preference and why IE. Tell us about yourself in one sentence Asked me about my academics We spoke a bit about the Financial aid in IE Do you have any questions for me? The interviewer was really engaging and even though I don't feel I did very well in the interview but I just felt good how much deep they want to know you and they test you really well on how you can handle difficult situations. My advice would be to prepare well on the topics of latest technologies and how AI is disrupting the industries if you are applying for the Tech MBA program.

I interviewed with Adcom Director. Great guy I must say. Very conversational and light toned conversation. Conversation started with small talk regarding the background music and then we jumped into the interview. 1) Why mba and why now? 2) Follow ups 3) What are the skills that you have gained? 4) Why Kelley (By this time I told how my elder sibling has just graduated from the Kelley FT MBA). So now he knew I know the program inside out and 1-2 follow ups around that. Now no more questions on school research cause he knew. 5) Why this industry? What inspired me? 6) Strength and weaknesses 7) Any apprehension about mba? 8) What motivates you? 9) Follow up around my leadership examples 10) Why US? 11) Follow up around my other skill examples and behavioral questions on that. 12) Questions from him And that was it. Good experience. They are very nice and conversational. No stress testing so relax.

I was interviewed by Kevin Stacia and Amy Hayes, and both of them were quite pleasant to talk with. Exactly at the scheduled time I got the Skype video call. Took a few minutes to connect successfully. Lasted about 35 minutes. Questions: 1. Started with their intro and the nature of the interview. It was a semi-blind one (essays and resume). Then they asked me to introduce myself. 2. My current work, what I do and what kind of a team it is. - to this I told them how half of my team is in Atlanta so I know a thing or two about the place. 3. Goals, plan B and why MBA now. 4. How do I prepare myself before a presentation? What is the feedback that I've got about my presentations? How did I work on it? 5. Strengths. 6. What will I bring to the class? 7. What is my plan B if I do not secure a working visa? Am I very specific to companies and locations for my post-MBA plans? 8. How do my friends know me. 9. Diversity experience. If I faced any hardships. How did I deal with them. 10. Conflict with a team mate. How I resolved. 11. A thing my friends don't like/have given a feedback about me. 12. How will I differentiate myself from the rest of the class. 13. Hobbies/what I do on the weekends. 14. What's your leadership style. Questions for the adcom: 1. A lot of questions revolved around immigrant visa issues in the US. So I asked them if they suggest something. They suggested me to be open to all kinds of opportunities irrespective of geographical locations, industry or firm prestige. 2. Is there a music club at Scheller or I can start one. - it's there at gatech. 3. Any new developments that I should be aware of or any feedback for me. That's all I remember. It was a great conversation. Probably one of the most detailed interviews, but they were quite supportive and made it a great experience. All the best to all the applicants! Hope this helped.

I was interviewed by Tiffany Jackson, a very gentle person. Started exactly when the screen timer went off. However, as I was way too much excited, I forgot to click the Connect button on the top right corner of the screen. So for the first few seconds I was basically saying Hi to her with no response from her side. Eventually, we connected and it started with her brief intro. Then she said it would be a blind interview since she had only my resume. During the interview she kept noting my responses. Following were the questions: (TMA- Tell me about) 1. TMA your typical day at work? - to this I briefly described my work and her response was somewhat like "Must say that this gave me a lot more insight about your work than your resume." A very important feedback. 2. Why MBA? Short term, long term goals. Plan B. ( Blunder alert - mentioned a different position than the one in the essays in case of short term goal ) 3. Why Tepper? 4. TMA how you had to interact with a different team and how it went. Lessons learnt. 5. TMA a time when your leadership initiative failed. 6. TMA a time when you had to convince your team to do something they didn't favor and it a. succeeded b. failed lessons learnt. 7. TMA an accomplishment you're proud of apart from that at work. - described about how I successfully managed arrangements for my sister's marriage. She told me that she too was planning for one. 8. Diversity experience. 9. TMA a feedback you got at work and how did you take it. Questions for the interviewer: 1. She had told me about the wedding planning earlier so I asked about it to have a casual conversation, which went quite well. 2. I had seen from their admission committee page that she is from Pittsburgh itself and has completed most of her education from the place. I told her the same and asked her the top things about the place and whether I should be prepared for something as an outsider. 3. How does the coming class look like? 4. Any feedback for me? Overall a very friendly conversation. However, the final decision depends on a lot of parameters, hence I will accept and understand whatever it holds. All the best folks! Hope I could help.

1. Tell me about yourself 2. With such less work ex what can I contribute? 3. Why Georgetown? 4. ST MT LT goals 5. Where do I think the industry is headed in next 5-10 years? 6. About a time when I led a team? 7. About a time when I took an initiative? 8. 3 Qualities that my employer will say about me 9. Questions for her Overall I blew it I had one opportunity and I blew it. I rushed through the answers I didn't give them much story from my work side Both the stories were from the University side I was so fast in speaking that she had to interrupt me Guys I was so nervous, I wish they give me a chance to get in, but asking for a chance twice is may be asking too much Luckily my background does much of the work for me, born in family of developers but I am really bad at speaking in pressure Please don't blow up your interview guys It lasted for about 27 mins, she seemed displeased However, since I always catch the words Look at the difference between these two sentences "If you are selected come to the event that we are organising in India" "When you're selected please join us in the event we're hosting in India" See the difference? No? Watch Aquaman Well she used "if" So may be I have the clue However, try to trap the interviewer into telling you how it went as I did but plz don't ask directly Immediately post interview I texted the current students and apologised as I could not live up to the expectations.

My McDonough interview was held with a current student. Was curious about the process and was told by my interviewer that all students/faculty/admissions team are trained in the same manner for interviews and who interviews you does not have any bearing for the interviewee. Just a note that I thought might assuage others. The interview was fairly straightforward and discussed my career up to that point, why I wanted to continue my education at Georgetown, etc. Then we got into behavioral questions which included things like: "tell me about a time when you lead a team," Did you ever have bad feedback, why?" ETC. I also got asked what I had been doing to prepare for the quantitative aspect of the program. All in all, the interview was conversational and I enjoyed it. Best of luck to my fellow applicants!

Hi All, Had my interview last week and I wanted to share my experience. My interview was with a second-year student from the admissions committee. I had his details in the zoom invite which gave me time to look him up on LinkedIn. He was courteous and friendly. After some basic small talk, he began by introducing himself and explained that the interview would be for 30 mins. And that he would give me time to ask questions towards the end. He also went on to explain that he had only seen my resume and that he would impartially report the proceedings of the interview to the adCom. Questions were: 1) What is your current job function 2) My ST and LT goals? Then he had a few follow up questions on my LT 3) Why Georgetown 4) What am I looking for when I consider schools 5) A challenging situation at work 6) A time when I took initiative at work and what were the results 7) What does it mean to work in teams and what has your experience been with working in global teams Then he asked me if I had any questions and answered each one of them in detail. Overall it was a great experience and the tone of the entire interview was conversational.

The interview was conversational and casual. The interviewer was really nice and showed genuine interest in learning about me. Overall positive experience as a candidate. Questions he asked (wasn't in order) Why I took the jobs I have Why MBA Why Booth Do I visit my friends who went to Booth? What classes I visited during my campus visit? He asked if I knew anything about the clubs at Booth Gender dynamic where I work Any questions for me? I asked him about the network at SEA, and he said that the network is small, but the connect is super deep. He was in one of the chat social group who is active every day. Something I really look for Overall, the interview lasted for 50 minutes. I'm sure it wasn't bad, but I can't say I aced it. I'm sure I could do better if I slept well the night before. I ended up speaking kinda fast (he said it's ok since he can keep up)

Interviewed on campus with Associate Director of Admissions Alexsis Scott. Questions were fairly straightforward leading with "Why MBA, Why Foster?" Alexsis kept the interview very conversational and gave additional insight into the program while we spoke. She also asked several behavioral questions including: "Tell me about a time you received negative feedback" and "Tell me about the last compliment you received." At the end we had time for me for me to ask questions. All told I believe the interview lasted about 40 minutes, which flew by. I had a great experience, best of luck to those interviewing!

Interviewed with a second year on campus for Round 1. We started off with quick introductions and then we jumped into the following questions (no specific order, just what I remember). 1. Walk me through your resume/background. 2. What professional improvement do you want to get out of an MBA? 3. Why MBA? 4. Why Booth? 5. Follow up questions challenging my intended post-MBA career path. 6. Tell me about a challenging situation at work and what you did to resolve it. 7. Tell me about when you have had a disagreement with someone at work and what the outcome was. 8. Follow up questions on the stories I told. 9. Hobbies/interests outside of work? 10. Anything I didn't ask about but you feel is important? 11. Any questions for me? Overall the interview went well in my eyes. It was very conversational and the questions flowed from one to another. If you have the chance I would highly recommend visiting and taking a class to better understand how data driven Booth is. I was lucky enough to go to a class that is directly applicable to my current job and I was surprised at how little I used data in comparison to some of the approaches given in class. Fingers crossed for any news!

Had an on-campus interview with a current 2nd year student. Questions mostly were expected, touched on the following: - Go over your resume - Why MBA - Why Fuqua - Tell me about a leadership experience - What makes a 'good leader' - Tell me about a time you failed as a team member One question I did not expect was: - Tell me about the power of diversity in teams Overall a positive experience. I attended the complete set of events that day - class session, first-years sitting and talking with us (very well managed), adcom member chatting with us and finally Fuqua Friday (all of us were looking forward to it). Loved the Fuqua culture and definitely can see myself investing 2 years of my life here.

I had my MBA interview with Emily Lucero. She has been really conversational. Questions asked- 1. Tell me about yourself. 2. Why OLIN? 3. What are your core values? (they are aligning your values with their data-driven values-based pillar) 4. How do you think your values have overtime and How your early life values have transformed you? 5. How have you implemented any global outlook or international experience in your work? She gave me the option to skip this question and let her ask another one. But I stayed with this even though I didn't have any international experience as such. She appreciated that. I advise to try to answer and not flee from any question. 6. If you are admitted to all the schools you applied to, how will you decide which one to go to? 7. What were your areas of improvement? 8. Do you have any questions for me? P.S: Treat the interview like an honest conversation.

Interviewed yesterday at IESE's NYC campus with one of the adcoms for the AsiaPacific region, Tomofumi Nishida. I attended the open day and assessment day the following afternoon. Interview was very conversational. It was almost split into two sections -- the first focused on why MBA, why IESE, why now, what will you bring to IESE as a student, etc. Everything was pretty standard but there was one question that threw me a bit, but Tomo asked me "if you were the dean of IESE what would you change"? After that, we transitioned a bit to my background experience. Tell me about a time... when you had a personal conflict, when you led a group... when you had to give bad news... etc. Overall, the questions were not exceedingly difficult and it was a pleasant experience overall

"My interviewer was a second-year student, and right at the start, he told me that this was going to be a friendly conversation more than an interview and that he will ask a basic set of questions. He said he would take 15-20 minutes to ask his set of questions and then let me ask any questions I may have (unfortunately, we started a few minutes late because of some technical snag). Questions: 1. Walk me through your resume 2. Why MBA and why now? 3. What if your intended post-MBA plan doesn't work out? 4. Why Anderson? 5. How will you contribute to the Anderson community? And that's about it! After this, we spoke for about 10 minutes, and I asked him about his motivation to pursue an MBA, his experience at Anderson, and his life in LA. It was quite a free-flowing conversation, and it helped that he had a similar professional background and goals as me. We spoke for about 30 minutes in total. The interviewer was warm and friendly, and he was diligently taking notes as I responded to his questions. I was surprised by how brief the interview was, and the fact that there were no behavioral questions, but overall, it was a pleasant experience! I hope this helps, and best of luck to everyone!"
