Try to connect to some of the students in these programs to understand placements and opportunities.

Just heads up that consulting and management require somewhat of an extrovert and the detail oriented person who can babysit others 😂 (management is mostly dealing with people…)

However, I think you have a solid profile and with a decent GMAT score, you should have a solid application. It seems like you have a clear view of your goals and priorities and that’s a huge plus.

For sure @bb. I have contacted a couple of alums from these schools previously and only then decided to pursue the said degree from these schools. As for placements, I don't expect a higher salary - that's not really why I'm doing this, I want to be able to work somewhere I enjoy my job and don't find it mundane, facing new challenges everyday is thrilling and I live for that kind of thrill

Haha! Absolutely. I've been told I'm very creative since I do a lot of art, and my attention to detail in general is very high. Besides, I also love being around people, so I don't think managing them per se should be a problem. Sitting behind a computer and writing code was getting mundane although my job is lovely. 😊

Vanderbilt. I spoke to almost half a dozen current candidates from Vandy and each one of them was helpful and kind. The school has a good pipeline for healthcare and consulting. They also offered an amazing scholarship and fellowship to me.

Congratulations on all the offers! Hoping you can get some scholarships offered come December and some $$ to make the choice easier!
P.S. If you are able to get a decent GRE score or a solid GMAT score for R2, that will improve your chances of both admit and $$ but if you can't get a solid score, then not worth it.

Thank you for the assessment. As of now I am focusing on converting my admission interview. Based on the results in December, I will decide the next steps. Anyways, appearing for GMAT/GRE won't hurt since a few employers look for GMAT/GRE score in the recruitment process.

I have actually heard (that's over the last 2-3 years) that employers are much less concerned with the GMAT these days and esp since people go in with GRE, EA, and test waivers. The rule is that if you have a 720+ score, you put it on the resume but if you have nothing, nobody asks or rejects you if you don't have one, so don't feel that's the big driver really.

P.S. Schools have been generous with merit scholarships which are for GMAT and GPA (international GPA does not count unfortunately) and since you have a waiver, the only opportunity is getting a diversity scholarship but those are usually for exotic applicants. So GMAT would give you a chance to save $$ but not sure 2 months would be enough to get it done, so think what's best for your applications in R2.

Hi Amit, this is Niharika. I have 9.6 years of experience in consulting and 3.27 GPA. I would like to request for a GMAT waiver to Emory. I am unable to find the test waiver application on the website. Can you please help? Do I send an email to them before the waiver deadline?

It seems it is a part of their application -

I was going with Kelley but yesterday I got an admit call from ASU Carey as well with 100% tuition + GA after being waitlisted in R-1, so thinking of reconsidering my decision now.
