My suggestion would be to target Healthcare schools - Fuqua, UNC, and a few others, that blend consulting and healthcare. Latest recruiting numbers are here (scroll down to the yellow charts) https://gmatclub.com/forum/best-mba-pro ... 21312.html
A lot of your success will depend on how you rank/compare to peers. Have you had promotions, did you do more than just your job? Your score will be helpful but it won't be the big driving force in getting you admitted. A score is a dress-code so-speak, if you have a good one, you pass, but you will be judged by by substance.
Strong GPA, weak GMAT—specifically for certain schools amongst the 19 you have selected here. You seem to be in consulting industry (tech function) and want to go back to consulting (I presume non-tech function). Doable, so long as you demonstrate the three skills a management consultant needs, your motivation for an MBA, why management consulting in healthcare, how this aligns with your long-term plans, and your fit with the schools., The rest (and possible more important) is how you package and present your candidature. - Dee (MBA Admissions Consultant and Management Consultant)
Your profile is seriously impressive! With a 710 GMAT (classic) and a near-perfect GPA, you've absolutely crushed the academic side of things. Your background in computer science from a top Indian university is a great foundation, and the research paper in healthcare machine learning is a fantastic cherry on top, showcasing your interest in your target industry.
Your 4 years of experience (by matriculation) at ZS Associates is super valuable, especially with the promotions, awards, and leadership experience managing a team. Those Business Analytics and Project Management certifications demonstrate a real drive to develop well-rounded business skills. The extracurriculars are fantastic too – a great mix of leadership, social responsibility, and technical skills.
Let's talk about schools. With your profile, you're a highly competitive applicant for a T25 program, especially those focused on tech and innovation in healthcare. While your target list includes some true reach schools like Stanford GSB and MIT Sloan, you've got a great shot at programs like Marshall, Tepper, and Kellogg.
The only thing to consider is the GMAT Focus – with a 710 on the classic version, it might not be necessary. However, if the format suits you better, there's no harm in taking it.
Overall, you're a very strong candidate with a compelling story. To really dial in your school selection and application strategy, let's connect in more detail! We can help you identify the perfect programs to target and craft applications that showcase your unique strengths.
