Hi TargetKellogg2024,

Congrats on the huge GRE Score! 💯

Can you please let me know if there is any preference of GMAT over GRE to the colleges you’ve applied to or does it have as much weightage as the GMAT?

Thanks and all the best for your applications 😊

Hi ChandlerBong!

No, business schools do not have a preference for one test over the other. Best of luck for your journey!

While they don’t have a preference for admission, we have seen a lot more scholarships offered to GMAT test-takers. This could be purely anecdotal and informal but multiple consultants have sort of confirmed the same theory that you apply with the mediocre GRE to get in or you apply with a high GMAT to get in and get a scholarship. At the same time, applying with mediocre GMAT will not work and apparently applying with a high GRE also does not yield scholarships at the same level. Well let’s hope it don’t changes this year.

Hi @bb,

Thanks for the informational insight. I plan to take the GMAT in a month. Hoping for a 730+ score to get into the competitive side of the application round. Was wondering if plan A doesn't work, GRE could be a viable option to give and apply to B schools with. Let's hope it works out :)
