I’m checking the decision tracker to see if we have people with this kind of a GRE score and they’re not, most are dated a few years back Jerry was largely ignored. I don’t know how detrimental this 312 will be for your chances but it’s definitely going to help and I don’t know if you can do anything about it besides requesting a score waiver application.
What I feel you can change in the meantime however, would be your goals. I’m not sure if you have already scoped out a spot within Travel industry and perhaps a company such as Expedia or maybe you have Delta in your mind but trouble industry is very unfriendly towards MBAs. It does not pay well and it doesn’t hire well either. I’m not sure if you need HB but they also don’t offer that either. Applying with Travel industry even as a PM, you want to be very well-positioned. You want to show that there’s a job waiting for you when you graduate and you’re gonna be scrambling or groping Because admissions know there’s not much available within that industry. Don’t get me wrong, you can apply with any goal you want and it doesn’t have to be the real one, you can pursue your dreams but you will reduce your chances of admissions if you are applying with a very Unlikely to succeed goal .
I didn't take the GRE, and most of the schools I'm applying to don't offer a test waiver maybe MIT? but my chances are low there.
What score would you be applying with next year?
The best way to strengthen your profile is to be a rising star at work and if you cannot be a rising star at work then be a rising star in a startup or in an nonprofit or somewhere else demonstrating that nothing can contain you. You want to demonstrate that you get stuff done faster and better and more than anyone else and you don’t need external motivation. It sounds like you have these skills and traits already. Promotions and pain increases are also helpful but these things take time.
PS. I was replying on the phone so I couldn’t see the years and rounds you were picking.
