I have 7 years of work experience as a mechanical design engineer with last 4years at a semiconductor packaging equipment company. I'm looking to pivot to consulting or product management in a hardware company. Been living in the US for the past 10 years.
I am Priyanka, Client Manager at ARINGO. Speaking about your chances, your GRE score looks good. Now, with 7 years of extensive experience you are in a good position to transition into consulting/product management. A 332 on the GRE would further strengthen your chances, but the question is if you are willing to invest time on working on your score or solidifying other aspects of your profile.
Your grad school GPA of 3.94 will somewhat help balance out a 3.3 undergrad GPA. The layoff and visa constraints are understandable, you should focus on your leadership experience and technical expertise, that will make you a strong candidate at your target schools.
