Hi @OfficerSpoon , I hope you're doing well.

Your profile highlights good academic credentials with a 3.88 GPA in your MS in Management and a diverse professional background spanning life sciences consulting, equity analysis, and corporate real estate strategy. Leadership roles, including co-founding your graduate school’s student body, serving as Finance Chair at the YMCA, and achieving Eagle Scout status, underscore your initiative and community impact. However, your GMAT score of 655 is decent but limited direct experience in investment banking or private equity may challenge your transition into these highly competitive fields. To strengthen your candidacy, consider retaking the GMAT to target 10 or 20+ points, also focus on sharpening your narrative to connect your varied experiences with your post-MBA goals in IB/PE, and gaining additional finance-related experience through internships or certifications like CFA Level 1. Targeting MBA programs with strong finance pipelines, such as Wharton, Booth, Columbia, and NYU Stern, as well as mid-tier schools may align well with your goals.

If you’d like, we are happy to discuss more about your work experience, leadership skills, impact created, challenges faced, awards and achievements and extracurriculars to assess your chances to top B-schools and strengthen your application with impactful stories.

For your plans of going into IB or PE, I'm really surprised you applied to M7 and 2 T20 but no T15s. Even if you wanted west coast because you applied to Marshall and Anderson, I'd still expect Haas. Definitely would've recommended Stern, Yale SOM, or Johnson for IB

True and your thought is inline with what I thought when preparing. The rational was that I am getting married next summer and my fiancé is hard-set staying in Los Angeles. If I got into these top programs, I could maybe have a conversation about it but otherwise I most likely need a program in Southern California. Furthermore, an LA School provides me the best network to continue a career in LA. Appreciate your comment and let me know if I am off-base.
