I have MSc in Petroleum Engineering and worked in Oil$Gas industry for 5 year. Currently work in Satellite Communications industry for 4.5 years as a Satellite Networks Engineer. Looking to move into Consulting or managing a team. Would love to come back to Space industry, but open for other areas as well. Aiming for UK programs mainly, like Judge, Said and Imperial College.
Priyanka here from ARINGO. Speaking about your profile, I can see some impressive technical foundation and a wealth of experience in two pivotal industries—Oil & Gas and Satellite Communications. Your GPA looks good while your GMAT is decent for the schools you are targeting.
Your goal of moving into consulting or leading a team, while still maintaining a connection to the space industry, is both ambitious and focused. With 10 years of experience, you will fall on the upper end of the spectrum; it will be important for you to establish your need for an MBA at this stage of your career. Highlighting your decade of professional experience, cross-sector achievements, and leadership potential will be critical in making your application stand out.
To better understand your story, could you share any standout projects or accomplishments from your time in Satellite Communications that reflect your leadership or strategic impact? Have you thought about how your passion for the space industry can add a unique perspective to your application? These elements will help you tailor your story to resonate with the adcoms.

Good Luck!
Your profile showcases impressive academic credentials (GPA: 3.8) and 10 years of diverse professional experience in the Oil & Gas and Satellite Communications industries, which adds depth and versatility. Transitioning into consulting or management aligns well with your background, especially with your experience in technical and complex domains. However, your GMAT Focus score of 635 is below the average for top UK MBA programs like Judge, Oxford, or Imperial College, which may require strengthening. To maximize your chances, consider retaking the GMAT to align with the schools' benchmarks or mitigating the score by emphasizing your extensive work experience, leadership potential, and technical expertise. Tailor your applications to highlight your unique skills and vision for bridging space, telecom, and consulting industries while demonstrating fit with your target schools’ strengths. We have helped many O&G background applicants to get admits.
If you’d like, we are happy to discuss more about your work experience, leadership skills, impact created, challenges faced, awards and achievements and extracurriculars to assess your chances to top B-schools and strengthen your application with impactful stories.
