After 4 years in the technology industry where I started as a software developer and made a switch to product owner after a year, I am looking to continue in the Tech industry as a Product Manager post my MBA.

Hi @Parshwa Shah, I hope you are doing well!

With 3 years of experience in the technology industry, transitioning from software development to product management, your profile demonstrates adaptability and a clear progression in your career. The goal of moving into investment banking post-MBA is ambitious but achievable with strategic planning. Your 675 GMAT Focus score is good, gaining finance-relevant skills, such as certifications like CFA Level 1 or financial modeling, can strengthen your profile. Highlighting transferable skills like analytical problem-solving, project management, and strategic thinking will be key in crafting a compelling application narrative. What's going to matter most in your application is how you connect the experiential dots and build a great story to stand out from other applicants in the pool. You can take a look at BLOG1 and BLOG2.

If you’d like, we are happy to hop on a 1:1 call with you to learn more about your profile like international experience, extracurriculars, challenges faced and more to provide a detailed evaluation and gauge your chances to the best-fit schools. Please feel free to schedule a profile evaluation call according to your convenience.

Cheers!

*wary (apologies for my typo).
Based on my understanding, all eight schools aren't really strong in Tech placements, with their 2024 employment report showing a range of 10% to 17% of the class having gone into Tech industry. I am going by what you've declared in your post the target industry.
