Deferred MBA Portfolio Evaluation.

Question

I am hoping for a little feedback on my portfolio for a Deferred MBA program and understanding how important taking the GMAT again would be. 
I got a 660 on GMAT (Q48, V32, IR: 7).

Graduating senior at Columbia University in Operations Research and have another bachelors degree at 
University of Richmond in business administration. 
GPA:3.75 at Columbia and 3.90 at University of Richmond

Notable Internships:
1. Internal Controls Intern - Citadel 
2. Business Process Analyst Intern - Intel 
3. Internal Business Process Consultant - Boeing 
4. Sales and Marketing Intern - Keybodo 
5. Consulting intern - Spark Mill

Notable Awards/Activities: 
-Dean's List all years at University of Richmond 
-Presidential Scholar 
-Academic Tutor
-Science Paper published in Frontiers Science
-International Math Competition finished with team in top 7%
- Delta Sigma Pi Business Fraternity 
- Chess Club (VA State Chess Champion)

abbaman : Thanks for reaching out! I have a few clarifying questions: (1) Do you have two bachelor degrees or did you transfer? (2) How long were these internships? Were they part-time during the school year, full-time summer, or some other type of internships? (3) You have some good extracurricular achievements. Which are the most time consuming? Which would you rank from most important/impressive to least? In short, your GMAT is incredibly important. You really need to retake the exam. Most of the Deferred MBA programs are at the top business schools. The AdComs will expect at the very least a 700 and, in truth, much higher score in the 700s for the deferred MBA candidates. Your internships will count but your grades, GPA and leadership/extracurricular activities matter a ton. Hi, 
1) Have 2 bachelor degrees
2) They were summer internships 
3) Most time impressive: I would say tutoring, chess club, and South Asian society.

(1) The two bachelors degree are fine. I am not sure I understand it but it's good to know. It won't have much of an impact.

(2) It's great that you were able to several internships, including some with some big names. That certainly won't hurt your application but it isn't exactly going to make a huge difference in your Deferred MBA application. There is no expectation to have had any work experience prior to applying. It's a different application altogether from the ones you apply to when working.

(3) Great, I still want to know more about what you have accomplished within these activities. These will carry a lot of weight as part of your profile.

So, all that being said, you are best off focusing on building up your extracurricular achievements or finding ways to have a meaningful contribution that you can include in your activities section or in an essay. Finally and most importantly, the you must improve your GMAT. All of these great accomplishments and credentials will be for naught if you don't at least cross that 700 threshold (to start) as I mentioned in my earlier post.
