Hi all, during my recent GMAT at one of California center, I asked for a new board during the scheduled break after Quant, as I only had one page left. The staff refused by saying: ”you have to write really small, this is not allowed”
Later, the staff told GMAC I asked “right after I was sat” — which is false. She claimed, “If she had used her booklet and then asked, we would’ve given her one — but that was not the case.”
In fact, I had only one page left and made the request during my scheduled break.
She also said, “She’s been in several times and does the same thing every time,” which felt like a personal attack.
I’ve asked GMAC to check the surveillance footage. I’ve seen others say they could replace their board during breaks. Isn’t that supposed to be allowed? Has anyone had a similar experience?

Ugh. This is definitely an unfortunate and misinformed test center.
It’s good you have complained to GMAC. Hopefully they will make a change.
