I was denied entry to write the GMAT exam due to a name discrepancy. In my passport, my surname is written in full as Kanti , but in my Pearson VUE profile it appears only as K.
I had already updated my name in my GMAT profile to match my passport well in advance. However, it seems the corrected name was not synced with the Pearson VUE system. Despite requesting the test center staff multiple times, I was not allowed to take the exam.
As advised, I have now raised a request with both Pearson VUE and GMAT Support regarding this issue.
If anyone has faced a similar situation, please connect with me and share your experience.
Also, I would like to know if there is any possibility of receiving a refund or rescheduling my appointment.

You should get name changed in profile before scheduling next exam..

Ugh. This is annoying. Sorry.
I think when you book your exam you end up sending the details to Pearson Vue and if you have made the correction AFTER you booked the exam, they may not see it. Obviously you did not know and they did not make it clear... They should hopefully give you a retake but traditionally name issues have to be phoned in 😢
