what is delayed, the less direct that sentence is, so the real question becomes whether the extra words in the lengthier version of the sentence add anything in the way of
vital meaning or clarity that the more concise version, well, lacks. Here, the answer is no. Jane lacks
work experience, not a
fact, so while the latter is not incorrect by any means, it loses out.
