Need to confirm this burning doubt.
In MSR,
- If I answer 0/3 or 1/3 or 2/3 questions correctly, will I get 0 score
- Only if I answer 3/3 questions correctly will I get the score for the 3 questions?
Thanks.
Hi manrasingh,
MSR on the DI section works
exactly like MSR on the IR section of the previous GMAT. The only difference is that the DI section is adaptive now.
1. All sub-questions must be correct for the question as a whole to be correct (
no partial credit).
2. Each question on the GMAT is independent of any other question as far as marking it correct/incorrect is concerned. This includes MSR questions.
3. Here's how we define "question" and "sub-question": Each question is shown on a separate screen. In other words, you have to click "Next" (and confirm your selection) before you see another question. This is not the case for sub-questions (they will be shown together on one screen). The question number is what we see on the top-right corner of the exam interface.
4. I'm not sure what bb means when he says the process has changed, especially since RC doesn't have any sub-questions. I'll reach out to him separately to check, but you may rest assured that if you get 1/3 or 2/3 MSR questions correct, you won't get a score of 0 for the MSR as a whole.
Just keep in mind that we're talking about questions here, not sub-questions.Feel free to ask any follow-up questions.
