I just took my first GMAT cold. Prior to today I never knew the structure of the GMAT. I scored a dismal 550 (25% Math/81% Verbal). I know for certain I can increase my verbal score with some practice (a majority of my errors came from the sentence completion questions). I will need to primary focus on Math.
My question to you is it possible to increase my score to the 700+ range after 6 weeks of intensive studying? I just finished work and will be off until mid-January...so I can study 4+ days, 5 days/week.
Thanks in advance for all your help.

81% in verbal is a Great way to start. With dedicated work in Quant you can easily reach 80% quant. This combination is good enough to take you beyond 700.

do you think an 80% in Quant is achievable in 45 days?

Yes! If not 80%, you can definitely come closer to it. Concentrate on the basics of all the areas that are tested in Quant and work on all the problems in OG. It should take you to 45+ is quant. Each person is different from the other in the strengths. So it depends on how deep you can go and how quickly to take it beyond 45.

Read through some of the suggestions to take the score to various levels in Quant. Those will be helpful.
