Hi Rags95,

Many GMATers are unhappy with their initial practice scores, but you really shouldn't be. That 330 is just a measure of your skills right now - and you'll improve on that result over time as you learn more about the content, Tactics and little 'secrets' of the Exam. Many GMATers spend 3 months (or more) of consistent study time before they hit their 'peak' scores, although it is worth noting that a 720+ is well-above the 90th percentile (meaning that most people will never score that high on the Official GMAT). This is meant to say that you might need considerably more than 3 months of study to get to the point that you can consistently score at a high level (and there's no way to know exactly what that level will be right now).

Before I can offer you any additional advice for your studies, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on your timeline and your goals:

1) What study materials do you currently have access to?
2) On this first CAT/mock, did you run out of time on any of the sections (and not get to some of the questions)?
3) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

Might be worth checking out the Share GMAT Experience sub-forum. It may help give an idea how long it can take to get the type of score jump you're looking for. Everyone's different, though. I had one student, for example, go from a V31 to a V40 in about 30 days. I had another recently go from a V41 to a V45 in roughly 10. But these are just anecdotes. There isn't a direct days-to-points conversion ratio per se. Probably fair to say a person at a V25 level isn't likely to have the same issues a person who is at a V35 has.

How to get a V40 or higher on the GMAT? What about a V51?
