my pick on this is E

equilateral triangle is where each angle is 60

and isoceles is specficially 2 sides only are equal

here we do not know abt the anlge A and side BC so it wud be E

the isoceles triangle has at least 2 equal sides as well as at least 2 equal angles.

the equilateral triangle has 3 equal sides as well as 3 equal angles.

equilateral triangle MUST be a isoceles triangle and a isoceles triangle CAN be a equilateral triangle.

it should be E

why E) ? and not D) ?

since both the statements supply the same info AB = AC we don't know if each of these two is indeed not equal to the third side BC ( which is necessary to decide if the triangle is isoceles).

def of isoseles triangle : only 2 sides of a triangle should be equal , if all 3 are it is equilateral , if none are equal it is equilateral.

Hope this clears it up.
