I agree. If someone is applying to b-school and their work productivity hasn't gone down, they deserve to be the first ones in at b-school.

I was just reviewing one of my essays for the last 10 minutes, then I came onto GMAT Club and now I am wrapping up and planning on leaving the office within 15 mins.

alt+tab are my favourite keys on the keyboard at work these days. Continuously swap between short essay editing sessions to MBA blogs, to GMATClub.com to errr Outlook (where i pretend to do work.)

I've been checked out since I finished my last project a few weeks ago. Work is so slow right now I have about 4 hours a day in which to work on apps so that's what I've been doing. Since my boss knows that I'm applying I think she understands.

this happened yesterday

Boss: everyone on the team is double, triple booked..can you take this assignment..its with our biggest client..its a $1 billion account, they need some real help..they seem lost..the Japs are kicking their butts..I want you to lead this..

Me: I am the only one your team is penta booked..i cant...but when i have time i will take the lead kicking their butt.

Boss: umm, what is is that you do again?

Me: I surf gmatclub..

Boss: what!!!! you can still access that site, i thought IT guys said they blocked it..

I shouldnt have mentioned gmatclub..my &*(^&*^ firewall now blocks gmatclub.

but i edit my essays from 9-5 pm..

I've been trying to keep it around 8 hours a day or so. Otherwise I start to go crazy and can't look at it anymore. At least I'll be done with R1 stuff soon which is good...
