Hi,
The school which I'm applying for base its selection on GMAT (+600) or quantitative GRE (+148), and also on the writing section that must be higher than 4.5.
I was planning to take the GRE, so I'd have to prepare just for the quantitative
, but I've seen that even if the two exams have the same writing sections (argument and issue), it appears that the GRE judge candidates more on vocabulary and its more difficult than the GMAT.
And, knowing that I'm not a native english speaker, I'm really worried about the writing section and wondering if I just have to take the GMAT exam that correctors are supposed to be less regarding for the writing assesment than the GRE ones.

The emphasis on vocabulary that you are speaking of is for the verbal part of the exam not the writing portion. The gradings for the essays are pretty much the same.
