Hi All!
While attempting CATs I came across a very surprising thing. I attempted 11 questions incorrect in one of my CAT and got a V41 but in another CAT I attempted 12 questions incorrect but got V31! However, I got just 2 questions wrong in 1st 10 questions in 1st CAT and 4 wrong in 1st 10 questions on the 2nd CAT. Also, unfortunately my 1st question was also wrong in 2nd CAT. Does this bring my score crashing down to straight V31 from V41?!

I don't know how the scoring works, but I just know that if you have ill luck, that could happen 
. Because you might have got the easier questions wrong in CAT2

The scoring algorithm on the Official GMAT is far more complicated than most people realize. It takes into account a number of different factors - more than just the number of correct and incorrect answers. As such, you shouldn't be spending time trying to figure it all out. You'd be better served working on building up your skills. A far more useful gauge would be to review each CAT and determine how many questions you SHOULD have gotten correct, but didn't (due to a silly/little mistake). Those mistakes are the things that you have to fix to score at a higher level.
