I would really appreciate if someone could help me find the best one or two resources for getting from ~Q44 to ~Q50. Right now I am thinking of buying Advanced Quant from MGMAT and using that for the last month or so of my studying. Possibly supplement that with GMAT Club tests. Am I missing something or approaching in the wrong way?

First off, you need to figure out what's keep you at a Q44. Is it algebra? geometry? trig? Word problems? etc

Once you get in 65-70 and higher percentile content, the GMAC tries very hard to make sure it can properly stratify between test takers. Getting over these obstacles requires a good deal of figuring out "what am I doing wrong and how can I fix this?". For some people, simply doing practice problems solves this (I don't advise this strategy), for others it's re-mastery of long since forgotten material (area, volume, rules of circles/triangles, etc.).

What pushed me from a Q42 to a Q48 was:
Slowing down when reading problems. I would sometimes answer something other than what the question asked and lo' and behold, that something else was an answer choice
Not letting a single problem drag me down
Brushing up on geometry
Not skipping steps when working out problems
Continuously using my error log
(I'm sure I'm forgetting something, but those are the main ones)

OG is in ascending difficulty. The problems you see towards the end are the 650+ difficulty. You won't have many problems that would put you in the 47-48 quant score.

If you're comfortable with your 44, you should begin working on more advanced problems.

For this, you should look into GMATClub tests, MGMAT question banks, Jeff Sackman's books, etc. Make sure you supplement questions with content, as remember, the GMAT questions are designed to stratify people and you need to figure out how to maximize your potential. This is why we stress an error log.

Although I have not seen MGMAT Advanced Quant, I would still go with GMAT Club Tests. Simply because going from Q44-Q50 is more about having the mental agility and alertness to deal with questions from all areas than the ability to steamroll tough problems. Cost may be a factor to consider though.
