Hi,

I am new to this forum but am finding it to be extremely useful in nailing my dream of getting onto MBA wagon.
Just a couple of points about myself.
24 year old. Originally from Central Asia. Graduated with a 2.1 in Economics from Cambridge, have 2.5 years of work experience in Equity Sales at one of the Big Banks. Hoping to start a new role in fund raising. Just did my GMAT today and got 690 and am really in dilemma. I am hoping to apply for the fall 2014 entry for the top business schools, which leaves me roughly another 1 year of work experience to gain. I am really puzzled now whether I should retake GMAT and get a higher score. I know people got in with a score similar to mine and GMAT is only a part of the process. What would you guys recommend? Part of me just thinks that given I still have time, I should try my best, get a better GMAT and have a good shot at HSW.

I would appreciate your help.

Agree with others. Retake if you have time and feel you can do better.

+ how good is 2.1? How were you ranked in your class?
