Had applied for Autumn 2007 MBA at LBS . Couldnt only manage to submit for round 4 - and have been dinged :(

anyone here who has been accepted in round 4 for LBS MBA starting Autumn 2007 ? :cry:

Sorry about that.

It seems that they had record applications this year. One of their admissions employees suggested in a visit I made there that they would offer some places for this year applicants to start next nex year. If so, next year some slots will be already filled :(.

yes i have applied to other schoos - INSEAD,IMD and Oxford.

But - I wasnt sure about the whole MBA thing to begin with so maybe this has happened for the good :o

I am based in the UK - have 12 yrs of fulltime experience and earn significantly more than the average salaries of MBA graduates from LBS.Was really in two minds about not being able to work for almost two years....

would try and see if I get an admit in INSEAD - if not i think I will give it a miss to Oxford and IMD :idea:

I am in a similar situation.

INSEAD - R3 - Ding without interview.
LBS - R3 - Waitlisted after interview.
IMD - R2 - Interviewed couple of weeks back. Final decision by 22/05.

I am putting in my Oxford SBS app in the last round, as a backup.

As far as LBS is concerned, not really hopeful, given the messages I am getting from talking to people. Apparently, they had made offers to 349 candidates by the end of R3. Given a yield rate of ~70%, the waitlist might move a bit on 25/05. Will have to wait and watch, I guess.

I got dinged at Oxford for 2007/2008.

GMAT 670 - 9 years work experience, 6 of which has been managerial. Earning almost double the average entry salary.
I believe I was a borderline candidate and lost out on the law of averages.

well my GMAT was 710 and 12 yrs experience - have applied to Oxford too but havent heard from them yet(application was submitted close to the april end deadline)

I would be surprised if you didn't get in with that profile. You appear to be well above the norm, you should at the very least get an interview. They stick to their deadlines, so you will probably not hear about your interview much before 15th June.

mobile telecoms. High Tech. I think Oxford have had a lot of applications this year. I don't understand it either. Frustrating as hell that they don't give feedback.

Cranfield have offered me a £6000 scholraship. Looking at their excellent placement statistics, I think getting dinged at Oxford may have been a blessing :-)

got my invite for an interview at Oxford today.Dont know if that is good or bad as i had really hoped to hear from INSEAD/IMD .Anyone heard from them yet ? for 2007-08 i mean.
