Started my prep this week (Tuesday). Just took the gmat prep practice test and scored 540. Pretty bummed. Was targeting 700 by July 7. Is it still in the realm of possibility? Or should I adjust my goal? Thanks

Hi thompstc,
Many Test Takers are unhappy with their initial Diagnostic Scores, but you really shouldn't be. The average score on the Official GMAT hovers around 540-550 most years, so this initial score is pretty good. It's also worth noting that that score is just a measure of your current/"starting" abilities and you're going to improve on all of those skills over time. 3 months is plenty of time to practice, hone your skills and score at a much higher level. Raising your scores 160+ points will take some consistent effort, but it's absolutely achievable.

Hi rich,
Thanks for the pep talk. I'm using the OG bundle as well as the free gmac software, and doing flashcards from the gmatclub app.
Any other recommendations? I'm trying not to get too many different methods going simultaneously so I can keep some consistency..that's my thought process at least.
