Just wrote my first GMAT exam and got 580, which doesn't cut it for the schools I'm aiming for (My target score is 650). I've studied inconsistently from MGMAT and OG for about three months and gotten 620 (Q42V34) and 640 (Q42V37) respectively on the two official GMAT Test Prep CAT exams (my first and only attempts, all questions were new to me).
Needless to say, I'm extremely disappointed with my result and plan to retake in 1 month. In my Preps I've been very good at RC and CR while SC seems to be a weak spot. In quant, I just feel like I need more work to get the somewhat difficult questions.
Mostly wanted to write this to unleash my irritation as I will most likely have to apply one year later than expected, which is bad as I'm already 27. Some encouragement from fellow GMAT:ers would be appreciated. Just signed up for Magoosh's premium program, hopefully it can help me improve my Quant score.
