Hi Friends,
I gave my first GMAT yesterday and scored a very sad 580 (Q39, V31) after 4 months of prep! This is worse than most of my mocks and yes its very disheartening. But I have some time before i send out my application for PhD in Marketing and I need to get a 700+ this time around. Sharing my journey and scores so far with all of you in anticipation of some guidance -
My Diagnostic score on Princeton Review (April 2019) was 450 from there my performance was -
CAT 1: 450 (Q34,V17) - Diagnostic
I joined Princeton Classroom training -
Princeton CAT 2: 490 (Q32, V26)
Princeton CAT 3: 550 (Q36, V30)
In July I started reading manhattan guides as well -
Princeton CAT 4: 570 (Q36, V33)
Princeton CAT 5: 590 (Q43, V29)
Princeton CAT 6: 650 (Q46, V36)
Princeton CAT 7: 690 (Q41, V42)
We are in September 2019 now :
MGMAT 1 : 600 (Q46, V31)
Started Revising my strategies and practicing only
OG 2019 Qs ( as its 15 days to go for GMAT)
Official Practice Test 1: 560 (Q43, V24)
Official Practice Test 2 : 610 (Q46, V28)
My heart dropped as I had thought after 690 in Princeton Mocks now is the time to cross 700! And here I was just a week before GMAT.
i revised whatever I could in the next week, ofcourse I got low on self confidence and a bit anxious too, but I prepared myself to give my best shot.
Final GMAT : 580 Q39 , V31 , IR 7 -
Very sad to see this score, quant was a shock because despite everything i was getting 43+ in Q for last 6 mocks.

I have only 65 days left for the retake : what should i do now to get my score above 700 this time around?
