I have been constantly trying to improve my Verbal score in GMAT but I just dont seem to understand where the problem is. I have given the gmat once, and score 680 (Q-48, V-34), and after preparing for a month, I gave the third gmat prep mock test, and apparently my verbal scores have become even worse, as i scored 670 (Q-49, V-32). My aim is to score 710+ as its the median score for HEC's MIF among other Masters in Finance programs. I know that GMAT score is only a part of the application process but I wish to excel it so that its not the aspect of my application thats lacking behind.
Any suggestion, ebooks, etc that can help me improve as I have only 10 more days left for my GMAT...
Thankyou

Hope you are well. Great job on your Quant! 10 days isn't a very a long time so if possible I'd say give yourself a bit more time. But assuming that you have to take the test in ten days let's see if we can identify some places for quick improvement.
What seems to be the issue in verbal? What's your greatest verbal strength? What's your greatest verbal weakness? Is timing an issue? As you are taking a practice test are finding that the verbal section is challenging or are you surprised by the scores? What materials have you used in your GMAT studies so far?
Let me know the answers to these questions and anything else that might help diagnose the issue and we'll try to get to the bottom of this.
Have a good day,
A.
