I took the test a week ago and scored a disappointing 550 (32 Q, 34 V). The most frustrating part is that I got a 660 (42 Q, 38 V) on the GMATprep test 5 days before the actual test. I was really hoping to be at least closer to that score. My other practice tests were taken through Kaplan online and the scores were:
Diagnostic- 550
CAT 1- 580
CAT 2- 590
CAT 3- 600
I had read here and heard from others that Kaplan scores were usually low, so after taking the GMATprep and improving my score, I was confident that I would be somewhere in that range.
My analysis of the actual test was that I: 1) Did not start really studying until 3-4 weeks before the test, and tried to cram too many forgotten concepts in that I blanked on during the test; and 2) Only slept 3-4 hours the night before.
I plan to take it again in February after spending a lot more time studying. I'm going to work primarily from the
Manhattan GMAT books and the OG books. Thank you guys for all of the motivation and advice. Reading some of the stories here gives me some hope.
