Hi nithinvinayak,
Many GMATers spend 3 months (or more) of consistent study time before they hit their 'peak' scores, so if you've been studying for just 1 month, then it's likely that you just have not put in enough time and effort to consistently score at a higher level yet. In addition, there are a variety of factors that can impact your performance, including the type of Exam that you're using, the time of day that you start the Exam, the testing conditions, how well-rested you are, etc. It's possible that you just had a 'bad day' when you took this recent CAT - but it's also possible that took your prior CATs in an unrealistic way (which led to unrealistic, 'inflated' results).
Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:
Studies:
1) How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far? What “brands” of CATs/mocks have you used?
3) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score?
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?
