i will take it for the second time in the next few month. is it going to hurt someone if they take the test more than 3 times?

Well I doubt it will bother the admin officers how many times you take the GMAT. I’m sure they know it’s a tough test thus they should be aware of why some of us might need to take it more than once. Besides some schools might even require you to take the test again if they think your score is not high enough.

I would consider three or four administations a good upper limit.
