Hi Spalredd,

You noted something in your last post that was not in your original post - "My thinking is MBA won't hurt and might help me with my next promotion"

It's quite possible that an MBA would help you in this regard, so if this is one of the big reasons why you're considering going after an MBA, then you can 'map out' the progression that you're interested in. For example, is there a specific job 'title' you're after or career path that you want to take? That 'trajectory' probably has some logical steps to it - if having an MBA is one of those steps, then the decision to commit the time, energy and resources to getting your MBA is a no-brainer.

Part of the application process revolves around your ability to really define WHY you want an MBA (Why now? Why from a particular School? Etc.). If you don't have a 'good answer' for those questions, then Schools are less likely to be interested in you. It sounds like the professionals in your field that you've talked to about this haven't given you the type of answer that you're looking for, but that just means you haven't talked to enough of those types of people yet. Unfortunately, you're not likely to randomly find them here.

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich
