Hello Experts,

I took GMAT practice Exams 1 and 2 and got only 2 answers wrong in CR and 1 in RC. Almost all of my mistakes were in SC. Now that I have already worked on improving my SC skills, I want to know if I should work on CR and RC as well? I haven't practiced them at all till date.

The other option is to work on quantitative section in all of the remaining time as I have room for improvement in that section.

My test date is 26th November. Guidance from experts will be highly appreciated :)

Hi
I would suggest to achieve an accuracy of atleast 80% in any section and then move on to the next. Since you are doing well in CR and RC, I suggest you to focus on Quant. But keep solving the CR and RC questions from OG in parallel. You may keep 3:1 day for Quant and Verbal in a week, as per your convenience.

If you've taken just 2 practice CATs, then these two 'samples' may or may not be enough to properly assess how you might perform on the Official GMAT (since we would have to consider if you took these CATs under un-realistic conditions). Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied?
2) What study materials have you used so far?
3) How have you scored on EACH of your CATs (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
4) What is your goal score?
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
6) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

Hey zarausmani,

It is good to know that you are doing very well in CR and RC. That said, practice is a must. With practice, you will get exposure to RC passages from various fields such as history, business, archeology, philosophy etc. You might be able to identify some in which you need practice since you do not know what kind of passages you will get in the actual test. With a month to go, focus your energy on Quant but ensure that you are up-to-date on all three question types in Verbal too.
