This is indeed how it used to be :-) but then 2-3 years ago, GMAC made a change that caught business schools by surprise and now cancelled attempts do not show up at all on the score reports, which is why Darden and Booth and other programs ask people about their attempts.

Hi everyone,

I took the GMAT three times:
First Attempt: 680, 45Q, 38V, 7IR
Second Attempt (Cancelled): 660, 47 or 48 Q (i can't remember), 34V, 7IR
Third Attempt: 710, 47Q, 40V, 7IR

I sort of panicked and cancelled my 660 score at the test center. Now, I'm wondering if I should reinstate the score. Is there any way to view my cancelled score (since I don't remember my Quant score) before paying the $50 to reinstate?

Also, UVA Darden asks "How many times have you taken the GMAT?" If I don't reinstate, do I have to report that I took it 3 times? They ask for the date/score for each, so I'm not sure what to do as I don't want them to think I'm dishonest if I choose not to reinstate my 660 score.

What should I do?

Thanks in advance for your help!! :)

Your canceled report would show C across all the sections

You can mention you took it thrice and if there is an option to report score you can submit q48/47 it wouldn't matter as they wouldn't be able to verify it

Good luck with your application

Regards,
HK

To summarize, I would figure out your scores using this grid. https://gmatclub.com/forum/gmat-scores-83890.html If you want to have a bulletproof solution, you can order an enhanced score report.

Hi gmatrat2020,

What is the particular reason why you would want to reinstate your 660?

Hi gmatrat2020,

What is the particular reason why you would want to reinstate your 660?

Nope, I'm just debating whether it's better to show the 660 or to have a visibly cancelled score (and having to explain that in "additional info). What do you think?

Also, I used TTP for my GMAT - super helpful!
