Hi All
Thanks in advance for taking the time to look at this post, and apologies in advance for how vague it may seem.
Im currently a Doctor in the UK, i am in my first year of work, and would be looking to apply to MBA programs in 2016, at which point i would have 2 years of work experience. I understand that often additional years are required and i just wanted some advice as to whether with my background this would be sufficient.
In terms of background, i studied medicine at Kings College London, and also did a BSc in management at Imperial College London, in which i scored a high 2:1 (69%)
I have always been interested in business and have co-founded a fine foods company currently selling across a number of stores in the UK. I have been involved in this four 4 years, from manufacturing, branding to pitching to business angels. I have also started a small charity and run a number of events towards this, as well as been involved in number of operational audits involved in streamlining hospital waiting times, which i have published and presented nationally.
On the social side i am president of the hospitals social society, and captain of the local squash club.
I hope following my MBA to move toward a career in strategic consultancy.
Given the above would i have any shot at an MBA at somewhere such as LBS. I would have about 1 year to prepare for the GMAT as well as polish the CV.
Thanks in advance for the help
