I've had this problem too. I think I've gotten a little better as my concentration and confidence has improved. Its easy to get demoralized from a few tough questions early on in a test segment.

A good thing that I will apply on G Day is to "reset" my brain by clausing 2 or 3s my eyes for a deep breath during the main sections of the test.

At least, I can try ;) With all cautions of being a non-native english speaker ;) :)

What I mean by a 'reset' is to:
> stop to do what i do
> close my eyes
> take a deep breath
> focus my sens and my thoughs *only* on the deep breath nothing more nothing less (listenning the noise, feeling the going in/out flux of air, ....)

After this, I feel a regain of energy, of concentration, and of confidence. :)

I'm not an adapt of Yoga and so on ;) I just observe that it works :)
