I like to listen to music when I`m working. But I can`t be in noise when I`m writing or reading.

Music is an art, listening music while writing is good, I specially listen music while solving puzzles. I haven't tried while writing essay, but will try and share my experience

It's a bit more difficult while writing than while solving puzzles (for me) :cry:

Sure. I always listen to music when I do something. Moreover, I hate writing essays, and without music, I will fall asleep while I'm doing this monotonous occupation. Soon, I think to abandon self-writing homework because I selected the most professional and cheapest service using the reviews on the PickTheWriter website. I hope that next month I will not have to do such boring studies :x

if it is just for the background, it doesn't distract me. However, music usually helps me to not to hear my roommate

I love music and I don't write essays too often. But I think it's possible. It is interesting to listen to music while writing.

I often play instrumental music as background when I’m writing since my college time.
I find it soothing. The trick is that that I usually select music that I know well, so it is
familiar and blends into the background without grabbing my attention.

Yes, music can distracts you if you listen your favorite song and whose lyrics are
known to you while studying, your concentration is most likely to be drift away
from the studies.

This is true for me if I listen to music that I want, I mostly listen to Beethoven, Mozart, and Bach songs whenever I study. It works for me and it really helps.

I try to mix it up, so when I get bored I will listen to music for a bit. Although generally, I think I can concentrate better with no music.
