Does anyone know the formula for this?
If X is equal to the sum of the even intergers from 40 to 60, inclusive, and Y is the number of even intergers from 40 to 60, inclusive, what is the value of Y.
I can add the 11 interegers (40,42,44,46,48,50,52,54,56,58,60), but I would rather know a formula, just in case the GMAT asks a similar but slightly different question, plus I dont want to waste time on the test adding figures.
Answer is 550=X , 11=Y
X+Y=561
