Hi Pritesh,

As I mentioned before, I don't know how any specific School will view your IR score (but it's likely that the Schools will NOT care about your IR score). If you pose this question in the Admissions Forum (on this site), then you might get a more direct answer.

Have you checked the Official websites for any of these Schools? Schools usually provide relevant information about incoming class 'profiles', average GMAT scores, etc., so you might find an answer that way. If the Business School Admissions Officers have done any interviews or press releases, there might even be information about how the School factors the IR score into the review process (so try 'googling' what you're looking for).

Regardless of what schools "say" they do with the IR scores -- we recommend doing good enough so you don't draw negative attention to the IR score. In other words --- don't slack of so much that you end up with an IR 1 or 2 score.

At the same time, you don't need to be an ace with an IR of 8 -- unless you would like to open the door for potential merit-based scholarships as one of our students here did: https://www.gmatpill.com/93k-mba-scholar ... ss-school/

So at a minimum, you don't want to draw negative attention to the score.

Hi,

I gave my gmat on the 1st of February 2015 and scored a 710 (Q-49/V-35)
In my AWA, i have got 6.0 but in my IR, I have got 3(25%)

I wanted to know if my IR score will impact my admissions as and when I apply, or should I use the time now to work on my profile?

I have 2 years experience and I plan to apply this year for the batch of 2016-2017.

Thanks & Regards,
Pritesh

Hi Pritesh

We would advise you that if you've scored in the 700s, you might be better served to report the score and not opt for a retake. While a high IR score definitely does help, this Poets and Quants articlereports that many business school admissions professionals are still unsure of how to use Integrated Reasoning scores in their decision making process: https://poetsandquants.com/2014/10/09/b- ... r-section/.
