HNIC
Hi,
I´m wondering whether the GMAT penalises you for having a weak area in verbal, i.e. either SC, CR or RC, opposed to having even abilities in all three? I`ll elaborate with an example.
Name: Even Steven
CR: two mistakes
RC: two mistakes
SC: two mistakes
Name: RC and CR Champ
CR: 100% correct
RC: 100% correct
SC: six mistakes
All other things being equal (no strings of wrong answers in a row, all the mistakes were on non experimental questions etc.) would Even Steven and RC and CR Champ receive the same total score in verbal?
Thank you in advance.
Hi
HNICThough this report is unconfirmed without a score update, I have heard
of cases where people after scoring a low percentile in one sub-topic
manage to get a decent verbal score. Please find the link to a person
who managed a score of V38(and a 0 percentile in one of the 3 sections)
https://gmatclub.com/forum/how-did-i-sc ... 61610.htmlOther than this, have heard of people scoring an embarrassingly low score
in one of the sections and still managing an overall Verbal score.
Hope this helps you!
