Shouldn't it be E then? The line x = -1 has infinite slope (which is >1) and also x intercept = -1 and doesn't pass through first Quadrant.

Other lines such as:
y = 2x+2 have slope > 1 and x intercept = -1 abd pass through 1st Q.

refer to my illustration. The point here is that : with a vertical line, we can understand that its slope is infinitively positively big ( greater than 1 for sure) OR we can also say that the slope of a vertical line doesn't exist. That makes it controversial for this problem.

The trap here is that we have to consider the case of a vertical line as well.

A. any line with +ve slop passes through ist qdt.

update: i meant B, though it seems incorrect..


opppssss.. i only took +ve slop not infinite. :oops:
