In my CAT preparation tests it tells me at what question I am and and what should I be given the time I have left. Does it work the same in the real GMAT?

I am trying to find the answer on internet and in the official website but I can't. Thank you!

Hi alfonspm ,
On the GMAT , you are provided with a timer that tells you how much time is left for that particular section . You can hide the onscreen timer, but it is a good idea to check the clock periodically to monitor your progress. Also , the clock will automatically alert you , if hidden , by reappearing when five minutes remain for the section you are working on.

You asked a very similar question 7 mins ago here:
https://gmatclub.com/forum/no-timer-all ... l#p3109604

7 minutes later, the answer is still yes.

Hi Ujjawalagrawal,

On the Official GMAT, you can 'hide' the count-down timer if you choose (although it will reappear automatically at the 5 minutes-remaining mark). If you are easily distracted by the timer, then hiding it may be beneficial, however, that timer information is incredibly useful to have (especially if you end up starting off a long or wordy question and want to make sure that you do not 'over-commit' to it - and inadvertently waste lots of time). In that way, keeping the count-down timer visible would be quite useful.

You have the ability to toggle it on and off. When you give the Official Mocks, you can test this feature out.

Thanks All for responses and clarifying my doubt but not sure why GMAC Support responded to me as below that there is no option to hide timer neither in GMAT nor in GMAT Mocks. Puzzled.

Hello,

Hiding the timer is not an option on the GMAT or on GMAT Prep. We apologize for any inconvenience.
